Peter Francis Iocona

In late 2021, I found myself charged with misdemeanor criminal battery (242 PC) after defending my family in a dispute over a parking place. I was horrified to learn about the extremely low bar set for the definition of this crime in California, and that I found myself facing this charge for defendi...ng my family. I was completely shocked at the lack of concern shown by the police for my version of what happened during my arrest and the potential consequences if I were to be found guilty of the charge made against me. As someone who had never been charged with a criminal offense, I was terrified. Fortunately, I located the SoCal Law Network while using on-line resources to develop a list of potential attorneys. My first call was to Alan Castillo who immediately won me over. I want to thank Peter and his team at the SoCal Law Network. A friend recommended this firm and it was a fantastic decision. I was stopped when I when into a DUI checkpoint. I chose to do a blood test and spent the night in jail. My blood came back at .08%. I have a clean driving record and this... was the first time I have ever had legal trouble. I only interviewed one firm, based on the recommendation. As a result, I received a wet reckless from the civil hearing and the DMV set aside the DUI after Peter proved to the hearing judge and expert witness that I scientifically couldn't have a blood alcohol of .08% and that it was less than the legal limit. I was being charged with 1) driving under the influence of alcohol and 2) having a blood alcohol concentrati...on (BAC) above 0.08% in April of 2018. He also prepared me well for what was going to happen before and during trial. It was frightening to be in this situation, but Peter knows what he is doing and is very good at it. TRUST HIS PROCESS. Having this charge against me was tremendously stressful and talking to Peter since Day 1, it felt like he understood very well what I was going through emotionally. Early on he assured me that no matter the outcome of the trial or my case, things would be okay in the end. Peter not only expertly managed my case both in and outside of the courtroom, but he was very personable.
