Biography
Peter F. Iocona is a trial attorney with more than two decades of litigation and trial experience, focusing on DUI defense and complex criminal matters in both state and federal courts throughout Orange County and Southern California. He personally handles DUI defense matters through OC DUI Lawyer, where he has built a reputation for trial readiness and results in cases involving significant exposure, evidentiary challenges, and complex scientific issues.
Mr. Iocona has litigated thousands of DUI and criminal cases and has taken more than 50 matters to trial. He represents clients in serious felony and misdemeanor cases, white collar matters, and cases requiring coordinated trial strategy.
In addition to DUI defense, Mr. Iocona provides strategic direction for criminal defense and professional licensing matters through Orange County Criminal Defense Attorney, in coordination with co-counsel Marlo Cordero. His practice also includes professional licensing defense arising from or intersecting with criminal allegations, representing licensed professionals in administrative and regulatory proceedings before state licensing boards.
Personal injury matters are handled through SoCal Personal Injury Attorney in coordination with co-counsel Aaron Hicks of Hicks Law Firm. This work is selective and focused on serious cases involving catastrophic injuries, complex liability issues, and high-value claims where litigation strategy and trial experience materially affect outcomes.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Iocona began practicing law with the Law Office of Barry T. Simons, where he developed a strong foundation in criminal trial advocacy and later served as lead trial lawyer and managing attorney. From 2016 to 2025, he served in executive and trial leadership roles at The SoCal Law Network before transitioning to his current practice structure.
Mr. Iocona holds an AVVO Rating of “Superb” (10.0) and has been recognized by Super Lawyers, The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, America’s Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys, the National Advocacy for DUI Defense (NAFDD), and the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, among other distinctions.
