This firm is a sham. I am 65 and I have hired many attorneys in my day, I was a business consultant. I have never run into more underhanded business practices. I clearly stated that I needed an attorney in San Diego. They scheduled the consultation, missed the consultation without notice, I had to ca...ll them they had me wait four more hours, then finally told me I would not be meeting with the San Diego lawyer, she was too busy to take my case. They said they would give me the Los Angeles attorney I told him I didn't want the Los Angeles attorney I could only work with them if I had to San Diego attorney and I had told him that from the beginning. They scheduled the consultation anyway, I texted them I told him I didn't want it. Instead of calling at 5:30 the attorney called at 5:08. Who does that? These attorneys work by the minute. I couldn't believe it was actually him who was calling so I picked up. We only spoke long enough for me to tell him I didn't want to work with him. THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE CONSULTATION. I EMAILED KEN WITH ALL THE DETAILS AND HE STILL DID NOT REFUND MY $165 FOR A CONSULTATION THAT NEVER HAPPENED.

This firm, which I paid a substantial sum, was a horrific disappointment. I don’t know if this occurred because Carlsen lost his license, but in (3) visits, he have me zero sound advice, legal or otherwise. Carlsen suggested that to rectify my housing issue, I GO TO THE HOUSE of the community owner ...to discuss his employee’s discriminatory conduct. Next, he suggested I have someone threaten to break the owner’s legs, it wss a ludicrous waste of time and money.

We are left in complete awe of Attorney Brittany Tolbert of California Tenant Law! We have never experienced a more fierce, supportive, and justice-seeking attorney! For months upon months, we experienced every type of mistreatment and unfairness from our landlord. We represented ourselves and fell o...n our faces at our pre-trial. The majority of attorneys usually opt-out of serving the underdog due to lack of profits, and those that do, often have predatory pricing models to exploit vulnerable tenants. Brittany confidently and strategically fought to protect my single mom family, give us a sense of justice, and genuinely looked out for our best interests. We are incredibly grateful and can’t recommend Brittany enough to serve all of your tenant needs or personal injury needs.
