Knowledgeable, Efficient, and Helpful

This was the first time we worked with an attorney, so we were a little nervous, but Brittany did a fantastic job. She was clear and succinct and got us the outcome we were hoping for, and then some. She was persistent, sometimes even tenacious, when dealing with our former unscrupulous landlord and ...his team. She provided helpful counsel when we were uncertain about next steps, and she did this all for a fair price. I am super grateful that there are people like Brittany who are fighting for the little guys!

Victim turned Victor Thanks to Ken & his Team

During one of the most horrible, heart wrenching times in my life, Brittany Torbert was there for my family. There were times where I literally felt as if I could not go about my day, due to the Landlord and his tactics towards my family. Even as I sit here to write this, I feel a deep rooted s...ense of despair and sadness at what my family and I had to endure. Our roof began to leak, water pouring down the walls, going into the sockets, sparking, not working, heater stopped working, floors rotting, ceilings mushy, mushrooms growing on my walls; I had trusted this man, and had a belief in humanity, that people are generally good and mean well and will do the right thing given the opportunity, so I waited and believed him, asking , pleading, for him to please fix the issues...until one night, in the middle of the night, my daughter's ceiling caved in on her beautiful pink princess room, crushing her bed, her pageant crowns, moldy insulation in mounds covering her floors and destroying all she loved. She could have been killed. piece of sheet rock sprawled about the room. When I called him, crying, asking for some sort of help or relief, my Landlord, made a joke of it, saying it was like the story Chicken Little. This was no joke to the little girl who lost her dream room, who could no longer have friends over to play, no joke to a family who could not use so many rooms or normal facilities due to the damage.....Then he actually told us we should have chosen an apartment if we wanted repairs made. A story of a home, full of laughter, births, dreams... shattered by lies. Our Landlord refused to fix, and even became angry, by turning off utilities at points, and trying to evict us when we sought help, and information on rights. Brittany has been there for me, teaching me about the law, her knowledge has not only been towards winning a case, but in actually helping my children and I to learn, grown, know what to do, and feel like we have someone in our corner. She has been a Rock of support, when our house was deemed inhabitable for humans by the county, and we had to stay in a motel, in hopes he would fix the issues, even during Easter .....No one could imagine the pain, heartache, and sadness that one feels looking into the eyes of their child who is going through these issues. We only tried to make it a fun adventure for them, but deep down knowing all the man had to do is what is required by a Landlord. Brittany helped me pro per, which I had no idea in the beginning of all of this what that meant, but she taught me, it means that you can represent yourself, while seeking her guidance, which really help financially, especially if you are a Mother of 5 children. Step by Step, even when in court he would continue to try to hurt us by saying lie after lie, she was there to listen, and assisted me in how to respond appropriately in ways that the Judge knew and honored because they were the proper lawful steps. The day that we won against him, won that he was in the wrong trying to evict us, was a day of glory, of justification of truth, of how the law prevails, because not only I, but my children learned that bad people do not get away with things, they saw their Mother fight for them, for what is right......and they knew that this beautiful soul, this amazing Attorney, who is only out to help people who can't do it themselves, who actually cares about people, and Justice, was by our side......This is a life lesson for them about how people are in their corner, we are not alone, there is actually a time and a place where Justice Prevails. Even after we won, this man continued to try to hurt my family and I with scary and weird illegal tactics, and she was in our corner once again. We NEVER could have known what to do, or known our rights, if not for her.

Highly Recommended

Mike Hanna successfully handled our case. Informative, very helpful, and diligent. We were being wrongfully evicted and were completely unaware of the legal process. Speaking with Mike helped me feel at ease. Primarily because of his effective communication skills. I was able to understand why things... were happening and all possible outcomes.

He is a winner......the best if you have a landlord/tenant issue

He took my case from the get-go and to trial. He had me prepared and won a wrongful eviction case due to the landlord's accounting issues. We won twice against a 30-plus-year-plus experienced local attorney hired by the landlord. Ken is simply marvelous. I wish he would be available for other matters... as well. Again, if you have a problem, he will find the answers.

Exception representation and support

I highly recommend Brittany Torbert for any tenant-related legal issues. She provided outstanding guidance and representation throughout my case with my landlord that tried violating my rights and giving improper notice to get me out early and she got me extra time plus good money for relocation. I ...feared that I had to go to court, but Brittany’s “Demand Letter” was very effective and impressive. She crafted a clear, concise, and compelling document that effectively communicated my position and demands. Brittany was responsive and communicative, keeping me informed every step of the way. She was empathetic and understanding, taking the time to listen to my concerns. Thanks to Brittany Torbert, I achieved a favorable outcome and can now move forward with peace of mind.
