Representation for the rest of us!

Brittany was referred to my wife and I to assist us with our wrongful eviction case. She is hardworking, honest, diligent, pragmatic, respectful, and professional. Without her efforts, we would not have been able to effectively deal with the bullying tactics of our landlady or be in the much better p...lace we are in now. She even went the extra mile to assist my wife with another issue completely unrelated to the eviction case. Brittany, you have my sincere and heartfelt thanks for giving us the ability to stand up for ourselves and come out better for it.

Brittany is amazing!!!

Brittany helped my husband and I break a lease with a very unreasonable landlord and avoid threats of credit claims, legal actions, and outrageous fees. Life happens and we had to move out of state. Brittany was not only very knowledgeable but was great at calming my anxiety about the situation. She ...answered every question we had at a very reasonable price. She even offered to do a second call when we didn’t use all of our prepaid consultation time. She was easily accessible and always responded even on her off days, evening hours, and weekends. I would recommend Brittany over and over again. This was our first time needed legal help and felt like she treated us like a friend.

Inaccurate advice

The "game board" website says that you can file an Arrieta claim if the Prejudgment claim wasn't served or was served improperly. Unfortunately... if the landlord lies and says it was served and that box is checked on the writ, the Sheriff will REFUSE to accept the Arrieta claim, even if you have pro...of you couldn't have been served and the landlord is lying. The Sheriff violates your constitutional rights and makes that legal call without having the authority. Their attitude is that the "order" from the court alleges you were served and therefore they are not obligated to stop the eviction if you object.

Best decision

The landlord tried to be sneaky about filing a default. They knew exactly what to do And biology appropriate pape work to get the default removed.

An icon!

There’s that saying “ If you build it, they will come” In one of the most stressful times of my life, facing an eviction, I found Ken’s organization “Cal Tenant Law” like a lighthouse on a dark turbulent ocean and the most wonderful attorney, who has truly saved my life (Brittany Torbert). Ken is suc...h a superhero. The website, the videos, and the truly skilled attorneys he brings onto his team are just heaven sent. They’re the good guys and on your side. Thank you endlessly, Ken!
