The Attorney's Everyone Deserves: Responsive, Knowledgeable, and Truly in Your Corner
I had a complicated case going up against a big institution on my own, but quickly realized I could not do it alone. Brittany Torbert came recommended and she has not disappointed. Having worked with her over the past 12 months, I can say from experience she is responsive, kind, and caring, takes her...

Waste of money.. Lack of personal touch..
I recently worked with the firm on an eviction case. Unfortunately, the process was time-consuming and felt like a waste of money. I didn't receive any clear guidance, leaving me frustrated and uncertain. In hindsight, reading everything thoroughly might have helped, but I would recommend exploring a...
For those who have never been in a lawsuit before, evictions can be a real eye-opener, and more expensive and time-consuming than expected. Filing a simple Answer gets a trial in a couple of weeks, where a sneaky landlord's lawyer, a lying landlord, and a biased judge might make the tenant homeless. For that, the legal fee is low, unless the tenant hires the lawyer to do the trial. If the goal is to maximize time in possession and reduce the amount owed, that only happens by filing papers that challenge mistakes, the cost of which is far less than the rent would have been. The county's help is just to draft the Answer, which may not be correct, but it's free. Under our system, the client controls the cost.

I ...

Won a major high-stakes lawsuit, thanks to Ken!
Our backs were against the wall. We had been pushed around by a commercial landlord. He managed to get us evicted from our space - so were about to lose everything. We filed a lawsuit, but just could not afford a lawyer/firm. We were about to give up, but I decided to give Ken a call. I am so glad ...

Thank God I found Ken Carlson!
I went from being terrified of being evicted because of Covid shutdown and loss of earnings to feeling empowered and having fun representing myself "In Pro Per". When my big corporate landlord raised my rent by $200 as soon as the emergency order was lifted in LA, I knew I couldn't afford it. I've be...
