I'm from New York and hired Mr. Sobel to take care of a past matter. He was excellent at making me feel comfortable and confident. Everything he said he was going to do, he did, especially through a pandemic. He handled everything for me. He's a man of his word. I appreciated everything he did during these difficult times. Thank you Mr. Sobel

Last May I was in a minor fender bender and the police were called to determine who was at fault. When they arrived they assessed the damage of both parties and as the other party drove away, one of the officers pulled me aside telling me he smelled alcohol on my breath. As luck would have it I was given a field sobriety test along with a breathalyzer test at the scene. I blew a .09 and when we arrived at the station I opted for the breathalyzer once again, blowing a .07. Needless to say I was a mess, my car was out of commission (radiator was busted), and I had been arrested for a DUI (something I never would have imagined). Then to add to the stress, cue the obligatory barrage of lawyer mail but it is what it is and Ross definitely came to the rescue. He never gave me false hope promising some crazy miracle of an outcome but he did promise to do his best. That is exactly what he did, he able to keep my license protected and he was also able to get the DUI charge brought down to an exhibition of speed, something that I had never imagined! I was hoping to get at best a wet and reckless but Ross did me one better. He was always very professional and polite but most importantly he gave me peace of mind!

Ross is amazing!
I got a DUI last year in September 2014. I called a few different attorneys and was unsure and uncomfortable making a decision on who to choose. I then spoke to Ross and I almost immediately knew he was who I wanted to work on my case. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process and made everything very easy for me. He successfully dropped my DUI charge to an exhibition of speed which was more than an amazing outcome for me. All and all he is very good at what he does, he's professional, trustworthy, and really puts the effort and time into his clients. He's genuinely a great lawyer and I couldn't be happier with my outcome or experience dealing with Ross. I recently recommended him to a good friend of mine that got into some trouble and I know that he, or anyone else who chooses Ross will be fully taken care of!
After being accused of a Hit and Run, mind you, I have never experienced any legal problems. Ross Sobel was highly recommended to me by a close family friend. Scared and unsure of the proper steps to take. Mr. Sobel was my guardian angel, who not only took the time to personally get to know me and my story, he treated this case as though I was his own family member. When other attorney promised me unrealistic outcomes, Mr. Sobel dissected every part of my case similar to a surgeon performing a triple bypass surgery. He is meticulous, diligent and passionate about his clients welfare. Out of the gates Mr. Sobel came out fighting strong for me; he is extremely knowledgeable and has amazing rapport with prosecutors and court room professionals. When other attorneys would settle for a less convicting plea; Mr. Sobel will fight for your rights, the truth, and the best possible outcome. For my complicated case, everyone kept pointing their finger at me and tried convincing me that I was guilt (even though this was a case of mistaken identity). However, Mr. Sobel believed in me and not only took care of every legal situation, he got my case DISMISSED!!! Thank you so much for your hard work, dedication, and compassion. If it were not for your legal skills, another innocent person would have been convicted of a crime they did not commit. I would recommend him to anyone.
Very professional and knowledgeable attorney. Always available and makes you feel comfortable and lowers your stress level. Being my first DUI didn't know what to expect. Ross Sobel was honest and upfront with me. I talked to a dozen of attorneys and after about ten minute of conversation over the phone I knew he is the one to handle my case. He reduced my DUI to a wet reckless and no breathalyser needed in my car. I am so relieved!! I was not expecting this and he did a great job at it. I highly recommend him to anyone that wants an experienced professional lawyer.
As embarrassing as it is/was, my brilliance got me a second DUI arrest. Granted, the first was 8 years prior, but in California the magic number is 10 - as in 10 years must pass for a first offense to be cleared. I was devastated and beside myself in confusion. I was referred to Mr. Sobel by a person who had great things to say about him and so my first call the morning of my arrest was to Mr. Sobel. I had made 2 other calls that morning: to my original attorney for my 1st offense as well an another referral from a person I had just met. Ross was the first person that I actually spoke to when I was a hysterical mess, sitting in my office wondering how I could have let this happen...AGAIN! From our very first conversation, not only was this man (who I had never met) a pillar of strength and calm, but of truth and hope (oxymoron?)...Regardless of the outcome, I knew without a doubt that Ross was to be my guy. Through each step of my case, he guided me through. He never attempted to give me any false sense of hope. As painful as it can be, I value truth above all else. Ross explained the severity of my situation and the realities of what I was facing. He never allowed me to wallow in self-pity and put me to work. He made sure that not only I was informed but that I had the confidence in him that was needed. Every email, text, phone call was answered the same day...let me repeat: THE SAME DAY. He knew that I was an anxiety-ridden basket case and yet, never once made me feel as such. His primary concern was my well-being: physical and emotional. Not only did this miracle worker get my 2nd offense DUI reduced to a Wet-Reckless, but in essence has restored some of the faith that I had lost in people and humanity (for other reasons entirely). I wish I had known this man years ago, as I feel he could have helped me in more ways than my legal matters.
The first time I hired Ross was in 2011 when I got my second DUI. After overpaying a criminal attorney for my first DUI, I knew I didn't have to spend $6k again to get the results I desired. Ross is extremely professional and never promised me anything, which I really appreciated...I needed to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Since it was my second DUI (while I was still on probation), I was looking at some jail time. However, Ross and his associate Sam, were able to get my sentencing down to avoid ANY jail time. I was more than happy.
Then like many who forget to complete all their sentencing requirements by the due date, I found myself with a bench warrant out for my arrest. I had no idea how to handle this so I hired Ross again. He gave me a discount for being a return client and it was definitely worth every penny to have him and Sam in my corner again. If I went in alone, I probably would have had more punishment added to my sentencing but instead, I was granted an extension with no additional requirements!
I would and have recommended Ross Sobel for all DUI and related charges. He is very informed, has great communication, and the follow up is incredible. I have no idea why the Matt below me had such a bad experience. That sounds nothing like the Ross Sobel and his team.
I hired Mr. Sobel for a DUI case and throughout the whole process he was condescending and rude. At first he won me over with politeness but soon after I handed over the money things changed. Moreover I did not receive the outcome he had told me he would fight for. I am not happy and would not recommend Ross Sobel.
From a refusal to a wet and reckless
First of all I must say that to all of you out there in the healthcare profession, get a lawyer!!! Whether its Ross Howell or someone else, you will definitely need one! But why do I recommend Ross Howelll? Well, here's a little bit about my case I got pulled over by the CHP, blew a 0.12/0.13 in the preliminary test & in the station I refused after two tries. (dumb decision) Well my ticket said DUI REFUSAL. In hopes of getting my case dismissed or dropped to a lower charge I knew the possibilities were extremely low and that only a really good lawyer would be capable of doing this. I received numerous letters from attorneys, made consultations and randomly called some and it felt like they all made false promises and charged huge amounts of money. When I called Ross I felt right away that this was the man I wanted to represent me, he told me what I might expect, as well as a couple of things I might need to do If I hired him such as attend AA meetings. Well, My court date was two weeks ago (metropolitan court) and amazingly he was able to bring my DUI refusal to a wet and reckless. He was able to pull off what he calls a "miracle" but I think its thanks to his great work and dedication. I know it wasn't an easy task since I had a DUI refusal on my ticket, and I had initially gotten pulled over for speeding, but he did it! He is well known in this court house and well respected. He is very trust worthy, honest and best of all he's always there when you need him. Currently, Im still waiting on the outcome of the DMV hearing, but so far the outcomes from the court have been great. Also, I am in the health care profession and Ross has guided me since the beginning, he's very encouraging and answers all your questions. I definitely recommend him!
Ross was diligent and thorough in his work while representing me. He was responsive to my questions, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job keeping me up to date throughout the process. I would recommend him to anyone.
