Author of over 1,500 published articles about DUI, domestic violence, theft, drug offenses, sex offenses and other areas of criminal defense, attorney Greg Hill defends those accused of such crimes in the Torrance and Long Beach areas, as well as other areas. Greg grew up in the Torrance and Long Beach area, before leaving for college in Annapolis, Maryland. After graduating from college (the U.S. Naval Academy), Greg went throughThe Basic School (TBS) in Quantico, Virginia, and then through flight school in Pensacola, Florida for about two years. After earning his wings, he spent about a year in Whidbey Island, Washington, learning to fly the EA-6B Prowler and learning about electronic warfare. Upon finishing the training in Washington, he went straight to the Gulf for Operation Desert Shield and then, Operation Desert Storm. After this deployment and combat, he spent another six years in the Marine Corps, deploying to Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Cuba and various places across the U.S. While in the Marines, he earned an MBA from Boston University.
Once he left the Marine Corps, as a Captain, he entered law school at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Three years later, he graduated and took the Bar Exam, passing it on his first try despite having monocleosis.
Since passing the Bar in 1998, he has aken many cases to jury trial and bench trial, although most have resolved short of trial. He has een lucky enough to learn from some great lawyers and thereby develop my skills. He learns omething new every single day in practicing law. Often it is just a better way to argue a point. Other times, it is a case that says exactly what he needs for a client with a similar problem. He thoroughly enjoys helping people resolve problems, whether it be a civil or criminal matter.
Outside of my practice, he has three very active kids and a family to support. He is also active as a Blue and Gold Officer for the Naval Academy, giving interviews for high school kids applying to the Academy and then submitting his evaluation to the admissions board. He is also active in his son's Boy Scout troop and his daughters' club soccer games.
