Biography
I am a Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. As an Iranian Jew, I came to the United States over 40 years ago, fleeing persecution. I was granted asylum status, which allowed me to stay safely in the United States and obtain all the benefits this wonderful country has to offer.
I have made it my life's mission to help others from all walks of life who are fleeing persecution, want a new start in this country, or have come to this land seeking the American dream. During the last 20+ years, I have consistently traveled all over the United States, defending people in various immigration courts from deportation and removal, whether in detained or non-detained settings. I have successfully represented thousands of clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and various United States Circuit Court of Appeals legitimatizing their status here, allowing my clients to live and work in the United States. Each time a client is granted relief and is able to stay, the joy I receive is second to none.
I received my undergraduate degree from UCLA and my law degree from Southwestern University School of Law. During law school, I served as an extern for the Honorable Alan M. Ahart, United States District Court, Central District, California.
As a lawyer, I have learned that not everybody wins. This is why an attorney who, like myself, knows the law, is attentive to detail, compassionate, and not afraid to vigorously fight on behalf of his clients helps increase the chances of success. I routinely represent clients in a wide range of complex immigration issues across the United States.
