Going through a very expensive divorce that lasted almost 2 years I was very unhappy and had little faith in attorneys. I have 3 children who at the time were 5,4,1 and was the most stressful time of my life and needed someone in my corner. I would hear from my attorney maybe once every couple months and not get emails returned, just the huge bills. Fast forward a couple years and some things came up with their mother and I needed to pursue full custody. I was terrified to lawyer shop again. I was browsing the internet on a Sunday morning and found peggy with 100 5 star reviews which was the best I found. I called and left a message asking if it was indeed a real person. She called me back ON A SUNDAY and we chatted. She was mad at me at first for not calling sooner. I mean this in a good way. She is very blunt and will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear, no sugar coating. Something I really appreciated. She had a flat rate for the emergency custody case which covered my whole case(over a year and a half in total) and a few more orders I feel were not really supposed to be included. Within a few weeks my kids were with me full time, I now have full custody and can still keep the lights on. I saved her best quality for last so hopefully you hung in there....she is ALWAYS available and responds almost immediately. This is so important when you're stressed out. I can't count how many times I had a question and would specifically note "no rush" or "when you're free" . I would still get a phone call or text(yes, from her cell phone) right away. To me it's hard to put a price tag on that, but there was, and it was very reasonable. I really hope to not need Peggy again but if I do I'll feel I'm in good hands. I would also like to give an honorable mention/shout out(use the term that reflects your age) to her paralegal Ginger, she is on top of her game and it's obvious her and Peggy use the same playback when it come to communication and promptness.

I have a rather normal child custody case that was transferred from a simpler IL county to Cook County, and immediately their system took over and relegated me and my children. The Cook County court system is an appalling place to be if you are required to need them for any judicial assistance for children. What I formerly was able to do myself to request assistance from a court became impossible there. I found Peggy Raddatz on this site, and she immediately took control of my case and most importantly fought for my children. She managed to get my case finally moving forward, managed my expectations and behavior (if she did what I wanted to do then it would have been much worse), and had a thorough strategy that accomplished what we needed. She’s calm, can organize a large caseload, never forgot me, my children, or my case, and could discuss any of it at a moment’s notice at anytime over the past 18 months. She knew more about my case than I did, and she works extremely well with GALs and court staff. Ultimately, I was choosing an attorney with no help other than from this site, and my family is grateful for all of the assistance she has provided.

I want to start off by saying if you need a lawyer who truly listens to your concern and worries shes the one she is amazing at what she does she goes over and beyond for her clients. From her first consultation all the way through she has had a excellent handle on things. She has been companionate, caring, communicative and won't back down from a challenge.
