After contacting several lawyers in a couple weeks, one conversation with David Carter let me know this was the right lawyer for my specific situation. Mr Carter helped me on my case tremendously. He was able to get me exactly what I wanted as an outcome and also again in a motion to modify probation. This was a tough case and was very worried about the outcome, but with David on my side, it went better then I could ever have imagined. Great guy, in...

Didn't take the time to delete or contest inaccurate things on police report before sentencing. Two months into this particular case failed to contact his defendant other than talking before going into court, basically we called him. I think a court appointed attorney could have done just as much as...
Wow! Client was charged with possession of meth and maintaining a meth lab. Client spills guts after her rights were given. Got them to drop the lab count. No need to challenge inaccuracy in police report as the maintaining a method lab was dropped. Police report was NOT part of the presentence report. I addressed all inaccuracies in the presentence report. Client's father wrote this review and has not come to terms that attorneys do not have a magic wand. Attorneys can not get every case thrown out specially when the prosecutor has a valid confession. Father should realize that you do not contest things in a police report after a plea is taken. That part of the process is done prior to plea. I addressed the inconsistencies in the police report with the prosecutor and that is why they dropped the meth lab count. Nothing else could have been done on this case. The Judge was simply a harsh sentencer! To blame the attorney is not right. To say I failed to contact the client is misleading. I was always in contact with the client and prepped her for her presentence interview and what to expect for sentencing. After a plea is taken and before sentencing there is nothing to communicate unless something comes up unexpectedly, which did not happen. We received a very favorable presentence report but the judge decided to go against it. I suspect there was some kind of ex parte communication between the Judge and other parties as the sentence seemed too harsh based on the presentence report.
