Be Prepared to Advocate for Yourself

I retained this attorney for a complex trade-secret and employment dispute that ultimately resolved without trial. The case concluded through an agreed permanent injunction and final judgment, without a cooperation agreement. While my attorney was knowledgeable about procedure and generally respo...nsive, I often did not feel he was sufficiently attentive to the strategic needs of the case or proactive in pushing back on opposing counsel. At several points, opposing counsel’s positions appeared to be accepted or relayed rather than meaningfully challenged, even when I raised concerns about overbreadth, ongoing obligations, and long-term risk. I also felt that my risk tolerance and objectives required more active advocacy than I received. In particular, I consistently expressed concerns about a proposed cooperation agreement that I believed created unnecessary and open-ended exposure. Those concerns were not meaningfully advanced, and the case ultimately resolved only after I personally held firm on not signing that agreement. Communication was generally timely, but there were instances where I did not feel fully aligned or supported in strategy execution. Fees were significant relative to the outcome, especially given that the final resolution excluded several provisions that consumed substantial time and negotiation. Overall, competent on process, but I would have benefited from more assertive advocacy and closer strategic attention to my stated objectives. Clients in high-stakes or asymmetric cases may want to be especially hands-on and ensure their counsel is actively pushing back rather than defaulting to opposing counsel’s framing.

Mr. Rosenberg Is an Excellent Lawyer

I had never been sued before. A friend and I found ourselves facing a libel lawsuit from a coworker. We hired Mr. Rosenberg to represent us. During the plaintiff’s deposition, Mr. Rosenberg, in a cool, calm, and very respectful manner, used his logical scalpel to cut through the many arguments presen...ted by the plaintiff to claim damages in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. He showed that the plaintiff’s metal alloy statue may have looked impressive to someone unfamiliar with the law, but on closer examination, it had feet of clay. With every one of Mr. Rosenberg’s logical blows, the plaintiff’s figure shrank, and his whole edifice of complaints against us looked weaker and weaker. When Mr. Rosenberg finished with his impressive logical blows, the plaintiff’s statue was smashed on the floor. Its weakness was evident. He had suffered no damages whatsoever. I was also impressed by Mr. Rosenberg’s motion for a summary judgment. The extensive document was a masterpiece of clarity, even for those unfamiliar with the law, and its logic stung. The judge ruled in our favor.

Would not recommend

In 2021, I hired Gregg M. Rosenberg to represent me in a wrongful termination lawsuit. He agreed to take my case. I signed the agreement and paid the retainer about two months later he decided that he could no longer represent me and I should seek new counsel. His rationale for withdrawing from the ...case was ambiguous, i.e., he could not or would not say whether or not my case had merit. I asked for the return of my retainer, He replied that he earned the entire retainer by reviewing EEO documents. Rosenberg provided no evidence of any tangible work completed. Please do your research, i.e., check for any malpractice lawsuits filed against the attorney before signing any agreements and paying any retainers.

Anonymous reviews are virtually impossible to respond to. I have no idea who this reviewer is as the situation described is not one which I have any recollection of. I have been in practice for 37 years and have always strived to make experiences as positive as possible for my clients. The overwhelming majority of the reviews on this page and on other forums verify this. There are situations where a potential client engages me to consult on a case and there is a fee involved. It is clearly communicated that the fee is for the evaluation of the case and there is no obligation to proceed further if the facts don't support a lawsuit. I have had situations like this but the payment is not for an agreement to take a case but only to evaluate it and this is potentially what the review is about. In other words, there is no retainer involved. I encourage this anonymous reviewer to contact me personally to discuss this matter further as the last thing I want is for somebody to have an experience with me that is less than positive.

Gregg Rosenberg, by far the best decision I could have ever made.

When I was first on my search for an attorney to handle a case that was extremely important in my life and that was going to determine the outcome of a career I have spent more than half of my life working towards, I found Gregg Rosenberg. I reached out to them and not only did Ocie contact me immedi...ately, Gregg also personally reached out to me to discuss my case with only having the bare minimum of details. I had spoken to several attorneys that day and after about a 10-15 minute phone call, I knew for a fact that Gregg Rosenberg was MY ATTORNEY. I trusted my gut instinct and it was the best decision I could have ever made. Not only was he extremely responsive, he truly cared. He took the time and effort to comfort me and keep me cool, calm and collected. I could not have asked for more from him. He has truly gone above and beyond my expectations. The case he handled meant the world to me and he could see that. It is very hard to put into words how thankful and grateful I am for finding an attorney like Gregg Rosenberg to represent me and my case. I would, without any doubt in my mind, recommend Mr. Rosenberg to every single person I ever meet that is need of his expertise. I firmly believe he is the best there is and will never have any regret in trusting my gut instinct to go with Rosenberg Law Firm.

Bait-and-Switch Legal Tactics - Do not Recommend

I hired Gregg Rosenberg based on his positive online reviews. My experience with Gregg was anything but positive. Mr. Rosenberg makes big promises in the beginning - he'll fight for you in court, he'll use clever legal tactics to win your case - but in the end, he does very little legal work and then... tells you that you have no case, that you won't win in court, and then he drops you. It's a classic bait and switch tactic. Mr. Rosenberg even gave me inaccurate legal information to lure me in and pay his retainer, telling me that the EEOC would do nothing for me, when, in fact, I had to file a charge with the EEOC in order to file my employment discrimination case in court. If you're thinking about hiring an employment attorney, think twice before hiring Gregg Rosenberg. Or at least read his negative reviews, which corroborate my experience with him. There are more honest employment lawyers to choose from.
