Be Prepared to Advocate for Yourself

I retained this attorney for a complex trade-secret and employment dispute that ultimately resolved without trial. The case concluded through an agreed permanent injunction and final judgment, without a cooperation agreement. While my attorney was knowledgeable about procedure and generally respo...nsive, I often did not feel he was sufficiently attentive to the strategic needs of the case or proactive in pushing back on opposing counsel. At several points, opposing counsel’s positions appeared to be accepted or relayed rather than meaningfully challenged, even when I raised concerns about overbreadth, ongoing obligations, and long-term risk. I also felt that my risk tolerance and objectives required more active advocacy than I received. In particular, I consistently expressed concerns about a proposed cooperation agreement that I believed created unnecessary and open-ended exposure. Those concerns were not meaningfully advanced, and the case ultimately resolved only after I personally held firm on not signing that agreement. Communication was generally timely, but there were instances where I did not feel fully aligned or supported in strategy execution. Fees were significant relative to the outcome, especially given that the final resolution excluded several provisions that consumed substantial time and negotiation. Overall, competent on process, but I would have benefited from more assertive advocacy and closer strategic attention to my stated objectives. Clients in high-stakes or asymmetric cases may want to be especially hands-on and ensure their counsel is actively pushing back rather than defaulting to opposing counsel’s framing.

Mr. Rosenberg Is an Excellent Lawyer

I had never been sued before. A friend and I found ourselves facing a libel lawsuit from a coworker. We hired Mr. Rosenberg to represent us. During the plaintiff’s deposition, Mr. Rosenberg, in a cool, calm, and very respectful manner, used his logical scalpel to cut through the many arguments presen...ted by the plaintiff to claim damages in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. He showed that the plaintiff’s metal alloy statue may have looked impressive to someone unfamiliar with the law, but on closer examination, it had feet of clay. With every one of Mr. Rosenberg’s logical blows, the plaintiff’s figure shrank, and his whole edifice of complaints against us looked weaker and weaker. When Mr. Rosenberg finished with his impressive logical blows, the plaintiff’s statue was smashed on the floor. Its weakness was evident. He had suffered no damages whatsoever. I was also impressed by Mr. Rosenberg’s motion for a summary judgment. The extensive document was a masterpiece of clarity, even for those unfamiliar with the law, and its logic stung. The judge ruled in our favor.

Scientist & Marketer

I highly recommend Mr. Rosenberg because he provided me with very valuable legal advice regarding a previous employment contract vis a vis a new employment offer.

Bait-and-Switch Legal Tactics - Do not Recommend

I hired Gregg Rosenberg based on his positive online reviews. My experience with Gregg was anything but positive. Mr. Rosenberg makes big promises in the beginning - he'll fight for you in court, he'll use clever legal tactics to win your case - but in the end, he does very little legal work and then... tells you that you have no case, that you won't win in court, and then he drops you. It's a classic bait and switch tactic. Mr. Rosenberg even gave me inaccurate legal information to lure me in and pay his retainer, telling me that the EEOC would do nothing for me, when, in fact, I had to file a charge with the EEOC in order to file my employment discrimination case in court. If you're thinking about hiring an employment attorney, think twice before hiring Gregg Rosenberg. Or at least read his negative reviews, which corroborate my experience with him. There are more honest employment lawyers to choose from.
