Contract Genius

I reached out to Ethan Zelizer based on the great reviews and ratings I read online about him and his firm. And now I can say that I agree with all of them. I emailed about a consultation and I received a personal reply the same day. I felt my needs were heard and addressed extremely quickly, in a pr...ofessional manner, and was an efficient use of both of our time. I am so glad that I decided to contact him regarding a Termination Agreement. He pinpointed exactly what needed to be addressed and gave me clear counsel on how to negotiate. Amazing experience

Ethan and his team are an AMAZING group of people. I was extremely impressed with his honesty, patience, ability to explain complex issues, thoroughness, professionalism and above all, his care and compassion towards others. Severance savior

I was the CFO of a multinational corporate and was being laid off due to a change of management. I was offered a small severance package with a lot of clauses in the contract that were worrisome. I called for a consult with Mr. Zelizer. I was told by his paralegal that the consultation fee included t...he attorney reviewing the agreements before the consultation so that he would be prepared and have a plan when we sat down to talk. During the consultation, Mr. Zelizer already had a strong plan in place and talked me through my range of options. One option was to pursue an age discrimination claim that was apparent after he reviewed the documentation. I was shocked that I missed it. He didn't. After evaluating the options, I called Mr. Zelizer back and he gave me a fixed price up front with a reasonable contingency on the back end to renegotiate my agreement. After signing the contract, he got straight to work and increased my package's dollar value dramatically, but more importantly, got the company to make the agreement fair in terms of where I could work in the future. The Noncompete issues alone were worth his fees but having him increase my severance as much as he did was Definitely money well spent.

The very best of the best.

It is a rare thing for me to give such high marks for any service because there is always room for improvement. However, in this situation, they are well-deserved. My circumstances were such that I was unsure whether my concerns and complaints about a work matter were justified. I had contacted a...n attorney who told me I had no case. I almost believed him but thought it still made sense to attain another opinion. That is when I contacted HR Law Counsel and Ethan Zelizer. Although he initially echoed the first lawyer's opinion, Ethan is a very detail-oriented attorney - a rarity in the profession based on my experience. He is not content to hear a mere summary. On my inquiry call, he spent a lot of time asking me a wide variety of questions. The more information he gleaned from me, the more convinced he became that I did indeed have a valid FMLA complaint. For personal reasons, we decided we did not want to take the case to court. I relied heavily on him to negotiate terms. We discussed and agreed upon reasonable expectations. I was kept abreast of each discussion, each action, the tone of every meeting and next steps. It was reassuring to be so well-informed throughout the process. Ultimately, he negotiated judicious settlement for me and managed the entire case with the opposing party amicably and professionally, for which I am appreciative.
