I just wanted to thank Heath and his paralegal, Sarah, from the bottom of my heart. They guided me through what I would consider the scariest situation I’ve ever dealt with. A little background on me: I work in the healthcare field and earned my doctorate in a specialized area of medicine that I abso...lutely love. A detective showed up at my house one day to ask a few questions, he was kind and thanked me for being, in his words, “brutally honest.” I met with him a second time, and again he was kind, and I remember being so thankful that he could see who I was as a person, rather than some kind of criminal trying to get away with something. Joke’s on me though, I ended up reading that completely wrong. Unfortunately, this ended up being the same Detective that charged me with both felonies. I was absolutely shocked and terrified. By God‘s miracle, I also found out I was pregnant at this same time. What a weird range of emotions during this time… With so much to lose, I knew I needed someone that was the best, someone who could see past the situation and understand what the truth was. This is when I hired Heath. That was the best decision I’ve made in my life. I’m sure I was not his dream client… A hormonal woman with a high risk pregnancy and a severe anxiety disorder, in a really weird, complex situation, LOL. Through all of the sleepless nights, panic attacks, and counseling sessions that occurred during this time- Heath kept me hopeful and (cautiously) optimistic about the outcome of my case. The best part of my story is he was able to get both of the felony charges dismissed. I have never been more thankful in my life. Heath & Sarah- thank you from the bottom of my heart. When I first learned I was being investigated I contacted SBBL because of their location in proximity to the courthouse to save on travel costs thinking it would not amount to anything serious. The lack of understanding and respect for the law on behalf of the prosecutors office is a real disservice to the public resulting in wasted time and resources that could be used pursuing actual criminals. Everything you read about Heath here is true. He will do what he can to prevent charges and he is also always ready to go the distance. He has good rapport with the court personnel and police which goes a long way. Believe him when he says he will fight for you. You also get Sarah as part of this dynamic duo. She is Heath's eyes and ears in the courtroom and does a lion's share of the preparation behind the scenes. From the beginning Heath's entire team from Sarah to their assistants and even office personnel make you feel welcome, heard, and supported like they are genuinely in your corner.
