I had a great experience working with Heath Lynch and his team. They were very responsive and always kept me updated on the status of my case. Heath is a genuine person and he truly wants the best for his clients. I was faced with two misdemeanor charges and Heath was able to get both of them dropped... leaving me with 16 community service hours. When I was charged with a misdemeanor, I immediately knew that I needed legal aid. A permanent criminal record would devastate my future academic and career plans. One time there was a miscommunication about what day we were supposed to meet to discuss my case; I showed up at his office and he didn't have a meeting with me in his schedule. Regardless, he still sat down and met with me anyway. Mr. Lynch never offered me false promises or was in anyway less than truthful with me, which I greatly appreciated. His competency was all the reassurance I needed. He was also remarkably detail oriented, remembering and bringing up personal details I had only briefly mentioned. I was so pleased when he came out of the final pretrial meeting to tell me he had gotten me a plea agreement for a civil infraction - it was the best possible outcome! My daughter is a GVSU student who was charged with a traffic offense on campus.
