Successful First DUI Charge Dismissal

I hired Heath Lynch after consulting with 4 other attorneys about my first DUI charge. His expectations during our initial consultation proved true through out the duration of my case. He made no promises, but clearly stated the order of events that my case would take. We held 3-4 follow up meetings... (he was graciously flexible when I was unable to meet in-person, we also opted for phone conferences). He was willing to listen to any questions or suggestions I had about my case, and stood by his approaches with clear understanding of the law and the probable behaviors of the prosecuting attorney, but was also suggested alternative notions and re-appeals, based on the unique variables of my case. He was persistent when contacting the witness on my police report. Chastity and Mackenzie, the legal assistants at SBBL, were extremely thorough with explanation of what was needed from me through the duration of the case. They sent digital copies of any court paper work in a timely manner. They are efficient and thorough! Thank you, Heath, Chastity, Mackenzie, and Rachel!

Excellect Firm with Caring Individuals

I hate to start off my review with such a cliché phrase. However, it must be done, and I truly cannot even begin to express the amount of gratitude and appreciation I hold for all of the help and support I had received from both Heath and his firm during this tumultuous time. The generous faces tha...t represent this firm are all incredibly caring and professional individuals who are not doing their job primarily for the money. I urge you to take that initial step to contact this firm, because upon the first few conversations you have with them, you will begin to realize that they are people who genuinely care about any legal plight you are currently undergoing. I made a terrible mistake that had me facing felony charges that eventually dropped to misdemeanors before the pre-trial conference, and at this point, all I was hoping for was no jail time. Unfortunately, my court date had to be rescheduled 2 times due to scheduling conflicts and the death of my mother, and I can honestly say that Chasity, the firm's legal assistant, was very prompt at notifying me and handling these issues with the utmost care. And I bring this up to demonstrate that during this incredibly rough time, both Heath and Chasity took the time to send me words of comfort to make sure I was doing okay while also contacting the court to reschedule. During all of this, Heath was very supportive and responsive in making sure I understood the whole process and what everything entailed. He reassured me that he would make sure to fight for no jail time. In a nutshell, my case had incredibly positive results that resolved with one charge dismissed, some fines, and one year of probation where upon successful completion, the second charged dismissed as well. If you need legal help, please contact them because they will take their time to understand your situation and fight for you. Without Heath, there is no way my case would have resulted in the outcome that it did, and I am eternally grateful. Thank you.

Best Attorney Ever, and Worth Every Penny!

I was camping at Warren Dunes State Park and had a run-in with the camp troopers, and I was issued a citation for possession of cannabis. I didn't want to use a public defender as I thought I'd have better chances hiring my own attorney which is how I ended up with Heath Lynch as my attorney, and I c...ouldn't be happier with my decision. I called tons of law firms, spoke with many attorneys, and got a lot of quotes, but I could tell that Heath Lynch was the best. From the first time I contacted his office I was impressed with how responsive and attentive to my needs he and his paralegal (Chasity) were. I wasn't rushed off the phone like many of the other attorneys did, and Heath was at least willing to explore all possibilities. When I spoke with the other attorneys they told me to take the initial plea deal the prosecutor offered as it was a "good deal" (read on for details of the initial plea deal). I called late and left a message, and they got right back to me right away. Heath even provided his cell phone number so I could reach him any time. I was extremely scared and nervous about the whole process, but after speaking with Heath I was immediately put at ease. I was facing up to two years in jail, heavy fines, and to make a long story short Heath was able to work with the prosecutor and obtain a plea deal for me resulting in a 6 month probation. My deal was called a 74/11 so as long as I make it through my probationary period without any new offences all charges will be automatically expunged, which is what I was looking for as I didn't want anything on my record. Throughout the process I had all kinds of questions, and every time I called or sent an email Heath and/or Chasity got back to me right away with all the information I was requesting. Heath didn't sugar coat anything and always explained the good, the bad, and the possibilities of what could happen. Heath was extremely knowledgeable of the law, extremely professional, courteous, always punctual, and always followed through on what we discussed. He never made me feel stupid or bad, he was always pleasant to work with, and his professional nature seamed to always put me at ease. He always prepped me before going into court, and I was never blindsided by anything as he always made sure to explain the process upfront. He never made any unrealistic promises or guarantees, but he was always willing to try to accomplish everything I asked of him. At the initial arraignment the prosecutor did offer a plea deal so if I plead guilty to use I would have to pay heavy fines, I would be on probation, my driver's license would have been immediately suspended, I wouldn't have been allowed to leave the state, and I would have had a misdemeanor on my record for 7 years and after the 7 years I would be able to get it expunged. Like I said earlier; hiring Heath Lynch and having him work out a different plea deal I only ended up with a minimal fine, probation, and automatic expungement after the 6 months so no misdemeanor on my record, I can leave the state, and I kept my driver's license. If anyone should need legal representation in MI I strongly encourage that you utilize Heath Lynch.

Overpriced

I honestly feel like he is way overpriced, and I could have gotten the same plea bargain for a fraction of the cost going with a local attorney, I only hired him cause he had some big name out of Grand Rapids, Michigan and I thought he would have put up more of a fight for me but honestly half of th...e time he didn't show up to court dates he sent some other females in to speak on my behalf!! When you hire a certain lawyer you would expect that lawyer to show up not his "colleagues"

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Heath Lynch personnaly and professionally for over 10 years. As a criminal defense attorney, I acted as opposing counsel on numerous cases that Heath handled as an Assistant United States Attorney. Heath was always thorough, prepared, and formidable as opponent. He was also always fair and honest. When he decided to leave the United States attorneys office to pursue a career as a criminal defense attorney, myself and my partners knew that we wanted him to join our firm. Heath now uses those same qualities that made him such a formidable Assistant United States Attorney to help people who find themselves in terrible situations."
