Greetings! I practice Family and Education Law, Civil Rights, Appeals, and general Civil Litigation.
I am committed to public interest and serving the community. I have served on various boards throughout the community, including, but not limited to: Disability Legal Services of Indiana, Indianapolis Bar Association Steering Committee; Mentoring Women's Network, Indianapolis Bar Association's Women & The Law Division, Networking Section and Family Law Section, Indianapolis Bar Association Law Student Executive Board; Indiana University Alumni Board; National Association of Professional Women, as well as Indiana State Bar's Diversity Committee, Civil Rights of Children Committee, Governance Committee, PLEADS Section, as well as the ADR Section. I am the Past-President of the Indianapolis Equal Justice Works Chapter. I am also extremely active in the ABA serving as a past Education Chair, 2014 National ABA Scholar, 2016 Law Practice Fellow and currently an ABA YLD Fellow and ADR Liaison.
I am extremely involved with family law, as I am an ABA and ISBA Family Law Member. I have served on the IBA Family Law Executive Board as well as the Marion County Family Law Local Rules Committee. I have served as an independent contract consultant for the Indiana Supreme Court's Family Law Pilot Project (2012-2014). Additionally, I have volunteered my time to represent pro bono family law appeals for the Indiana State Bar Appellate Pro Bono Project for qualifying appeals.
In addition to providing the highest degree of representation to my clients, I am dedicated to raising money for public interest law, including for Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis’ Law Repayment Assistance Program, where I currently serve on the standing host committee. I have volunteered at various organizations throughout the community which serve the underprivileged and pursue equal access to justice, including, but not limited to: Disability Legal Services of Indiana; Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence; Center for Victim and Human Rights; and other such organizations.
I am a 2012 ISBA Leadership Academy Graduate; 2014 Trial Institute Graduate; 2016 SKL Lacy Leadership Series Graduate; and 2015 FBI Citizens Academy Graduate.
I am fluent in American Sign Language and I utilize this skill to pursue my passion of meeting the legal needs and challenges of the Deaf Community throughout Indiana.
Practice areas
Civil Rights is a very challenging field. I fight for individuals to have an equal access to the legal system. I also represent clients in police brutality and/or excessive force cases. I advocate for my clients that are discriminated against on the basis of the race, color, religion, sex, disability, or creed to ensure equality. Especially because I am fluent in ASL, I try to represent the rights of all individuals, regardless of their background. Everyone deserves equal access to justice.

I enjoy appellate practice very much because legal precedent is so vital in all practice areas. I am passionate about the appeals that I take. I also volunteer with the Indiana State Bar Association's Pro Bono Appellate Practice Program, the ITLA Amicus Section, as well as the 7th Circuit Appellate Board because I enjoy the challenges and rewards of appellate work. Appellate work is extremely intricate; therefore, it is important to hire a lawyer that is knowledgeable in this area

I care very much about representing families in child custody cases. These cases can be emotional, but your children are one of the most important things in your life, so it is extremely important to hire an attorney that deeply cares about child custody but also has an intricate knowledge of family law. I serve on the ISBA Family Law Section, ABA Family Law Section, local family rules committee, as well as the IBA Family Law Executive Board. As such, I stay very up to date on family law.
11 years
I thoroughly enjoy education law and representing students to ensure they have the education tools to thrive during the formative years. I especially enjoy representing special needs children to ensure they obtain the proper education and attention that they need.
11 years
I represent child support cases for both mother and father. I have a vast array of knowledge in the family law arena, as I am a domestic member, an ABA and ISBA Family Law Section member, serve on the IBA Family Law Executive Board, as well as on the Marion County Family Law Local Rules Committee. I also serve as the consultant for the IN Supreme Court's Family Law Pilot Project. I implement the knowledge derived from these various capacities so that I can diligently advocate for my clients.
