Hello, I’m Daniel. This is very personal for me, please take the time to digest this. It’s winded,but it’s warranted. I’d like to take a few minutes to brag about Kristen because she deserves this review. I was facing a class C Felony for burglary for reasons which I’ll leave anonymous. This crimina...l case also took its own form as it got tied to a custody case at the same time due to the nature and timing of the aforementioned accusation. The pretrial in jail had me at a 250$ bond and a no contact order with my two little boys and their mother. The second time I appeared I had hired Kristen and she was with me. The judge defamed me out loud for the whole court to hear over the white noise machines when counsel approached the bench. I watched the judge,the prosecutor, and the children’s lawyer attacking me through her at the bench. Judge was calling me names and it was completely out of line for a person in that position. So from the start she had an uphill battle with me. I remained silent the whole time when I was ordered back to jail that moment with an ankle monitor and more stipulations. Mind you I was out on bond, so being shackled then was a complete surprise. One day before my 40th bday I was incarcerated again. A few hours after being in jail with no phone numbers stored in my mind, no phone to call anybody. The guards came to get me and took me back to the booking area. A man came to me and in verbatim he said “ you have a good lawyer”. I asked him why he said that because I didnt know who he was at that point.He said” your lawyer came to me as I was closing and wouldn’t relent until I came to get you so you didn’t have to spend your bday in here”. Kristen literally went straight from the courthouse and grabbed this man after his business hours so I didn’t have to spent my bday in jail. This man was the one who runs the division for ankle monitors in the county I was in. I would have rotted in there for undoubtably weeks on end. The prosecutor was anything but diligent in responding to her emails. The children’s lawyer was very unresponsive as was the lawyer of my ex wife, as was the counselor that was appointed for supervised visits. As I said, two cases bound up in one. Kristen was doing family law and criminal law at the same time for me!!!! The case went to the grand jury and they concluded that it was a class A misdemeanor and not a felony. Then, she had it dropped even further to where I wasn’t convicted of anything. I was facing 5 years in jail and years of not seeing my sons. I’m proud to brag about her fortitude, diligence and wisdom. Knowledge is easy to attain. Wisdom is something that is priceless. Kristen has wisdom. I am now not facing ANYTHING. I have one more visit with my sons and I get them back too. Kristen has been there for every minute of the hardest time of my life. I asked so many questions and sent so many emails over the year it took to resolve this. Not only is she an amazing lawyer, she’s an amazing human being and her value is matchless. I hired Kristin on a couple different cases. A DUI 3rd and a Driving on Suspended license. On each I was looking at life changing devistating consequences. I was down and out. Kristin saved the day. Kristen Russell was our attorney for our sons adoption and was an absolute God send.
