Mike Maloof continues the legacy started by his father and grandfather in Dekalb county. His judgement, ethics and integrity are impeccable and his honesty unimpeachable.

Fortunately, while I have never needed to use Mike Maloof for a serious charge, he was able to help me out on multiple occasions with traffic violations that enabled me to stay safe on the streets with no hits against my record. Even though my case was minor, Mike paid attention to every detail of my case as though it was major. You do not get that sort of attention from every attorney and Mike is an exception to the run of the mill attorney.

If you are in the Atlanta area and need an attorney who will do the utmost for your case, seek out Mike Maloof.

  • Rude and Unprofessional.

Rude and unprofessional. I came to him for a xanax and marijuana possession case (second possession charge) after being referred by a couple different people that told me good things. Told me my case "wasn't worth his time" and that he was unable to work with me on a payment plan because "people in recovery" are "untrustworthy".. Unless I paid the full amount before my first court date, which was less than 2 weeks after I was incarcerated, and only days after I attempted to hire Mr. Maloof. He told me that he " would think about it" when I asked him if he could work with 1000 down payment and weekly or bi weekly payments after that. Absolutely shocked that thousands of dollars isnt worth his time, and that he would make a general assumption that because I was referred by people I met at an AA meeting, that he "couldnt trust me with a payment plan", even with almost half of the payment down. Made me feel completely disrespected, made it very clear that he had no interest in representing me and came off as narcissistic and rude. Also, the attitude shift came after I mentioned the name of one of the people who referred me, who I found out had a small argument with a few nights before, when he simply contacted mike to tell him I would be calling him about my case the next morning. He told him he was selfish for texting too late in the evening, and that he doesnt offer free legal advice, that people have to pay if they want to ask a question (which absolutely was the intention anyways since I was planning on paying him $3500).

William Michael Maloof Jr.’s response: “I am sorry you feel this way. I wish you luck on your case and told you my conditions of payment. I can be stern and when people don't like what they hear they can consider me rude. I am not perfect. You misrepresented what I told you in regards to payment. I did say $3,500.00. I indicated $2,000.00 down was necessary to start and a payment plan was available after that payment. I did this because your court date was less than two weeks away. I did not set the court date, and your proposal to pay weekly was not something I was willing to do from prior experiences with prior clients. I understand this is a stressful time for you and I hope things work out for you. When I would not acquiesce to your demands after a lengthy free legal consultation you became frustrated and frankly rude. I should have responded better than I did and that is my fault. I will not comment on a few other issues as I feel they violate the traditions and principles of the very program you are alluding to in your review. Also, they are materially inaccurate. My law practice is how I earn a living and thousands of dollars does mean something to me. Your intention of paying is a far cry from actually paying. I find the proposal you gave for payment is poor for business and leads to the kind of review you just left. As for your friend I am not a source of legal advice at 10:15 on a week night free or not free. He is an acquaintance not a family member or close friend. He is the kind of person I only hear from once every six months when he has a problem and wants help. Your portrayal of my view towards others is a gross generalization, inaccurate, and insulting. I forgive you because I know this is a stressful time for you, but I would be lying to say this did not anger me and hurt my feelings.”

The best attorney who worked my case and fought with an iron fist. He works with you when it comes to financing his service. The staff is very nice and friendly. Overall I was blessed to have him in my corner. I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have done for me.

  • A man who knows Dekalb County's probation system

I hired Mr Maloof due a probation violation I had on my record. I knew I couldn't go there myself and resolve it without risking going to jail. He was able to contact my probation officer and get a deal to close the case without anymore conditions. He is fast and reliable.

  • If you need a criminal defense attorney in Dekalb County, Mike Maloof is the one you want.

If you need a criminal defense attorney in Dekalb County, Mike Maloof is the one you want. We were faced with a potential juvenile arrest and chose Mr. Maloof based on his AVVO ratings. He did not disappoint us. In the initial consultation, he reviewed a piece of “evidence” that was being used a club to elicit a false confession. Immediately, he identified serious flaws in the materials that completely undermined the case against us. Finally, having his card as we waited for anything that might come next was (and is) a great comfort. For criminal accusations, he is the one.

I first consulted with Mr. Maloof Jr. pertaining to a family matter. He consulted with me and took my case. The case was resolved with me having to go through a painful ordeal in court. He is a great man not only as an attorney but also as a human being. His rates are very reasonable. If I should ever need any legal advice he will be my first goto. Thanks again for your excellent service.

  • THE "MICHAEL" JORDAN OF ATTORNEYS!

I was on probation attending community service supervised and performing task as instructed by Probation Officers. I was accused, charged and arrested with Interference of Government Property, which is a Felony charge and violation of my Probation. Subsequently, after bonding out of jail, a warrant was issued for my arrest by the same Probation Office for violation of Probation. I provided evidence supporting my case to Michael Maloof Jr who immediately recognized the injustice and absurd charges against me. Maloof Jr.'s quick action, professional approach and knowledge of the law resulted in a dismissal of the charges and my case by the District Attorney within two months. Michael Maloof Jr. is a respectable, down to earth, caring, EXCELLENT attorney who fought hard to clear my name. He SLAM DUNKED INJUSTICE AND TOOK HOME THE WIN! He is the MVP!

I had the pleasure of working with both Mr. Maloof Jr and Mr. Maloof Sr.
Mike Jr was honest and upfront from the onset on our initial consultation. I knew at that point he was attorney for me.
He was always available when I needed to speak with him, regardless of his hectic caseload. He laid the groundwork for what I thought would be an impossible case to settle in my favor. Mike Sr accompanied me to my hearing and made the impossible a reality. Here I am, from the comfort of my own home writing this review. Without the Maloof Law Firm this would not have been possible! I recommend their services from the simplest to the most complex of cases. They are the best and will get the job done above and beyond your satisfaction!
