I'm Ben Glass - an attorney, author, entrepreneur, soccer referee, and father to nine. But this isn't about me! Replied last November 01, 2016Thanks for the kind comments! A long-term disability claim is a "niche" claim in the law. If your disability policy is provided by your employer, the rules of ERISA govern the claim. Finding a lawyer who is experienced in both ERISA and long term disability insurance claims can be tough, since there are only a relative few who are specialists in this area. We are glad we could help. The deck is stacked in favor of the insurance companies and they know that only about 1 in 10 of their denial letters will make their way into the hands of an attorney experienced in this area of the law.
