James David Hartt

I paid Mr. Hartt with Cashiers Checks. Not only did I NOT obtain a written contract or ITEMIZED BILL. As far as I know, almost at the six year point, after I called Mr. Hartt. HE DID NOTHING! NO ITEMIZED BILL, NO WRITTEN CONTRACT. I complained to the attorney grievance committee & their respo...nse wasn’t commensurate considering his misconduct according to the NYS Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct. What made it worse? I consulted with a female attorney at the Cohen & Lombardo Firm, (ironically the same firm that served process for my landlord’s eviction proceeding where I had affirmative defenses against the eviction,) they lied & said Mr. Hartt did “nothing wrong.” My file was “mysteriously” missing. Mr. Hartt...what did you do to “earn” what I paid you?

I hired James to bring a Sexual Harassment claim against my then-current employer. After the claim was filed with New york State Human Rights Division, my boss concocted a false reason for firing me. James added Retaliation to the claim and made them pay for that obvious retaliation. I’m extremely d...elighted with his professional services and the quality of his work.

I had an issue with my former employer who sent me a settlement agreement. I had never had a issue like this before and needed some legal advice and someone to review the contract. James Hartt returned my call promptly, was very proactive about my timetable and was professional. After reviewing the c...ontract he informed me of all my options. In the process he help me walkthrough the negotiations process to get a higher settlement. His rate in my opinion was fair and I recommend him to anyone having issues with their employer. Even if you just request a constaltation its worth the money.

My experience with Mr. Hartt has been a good one. He worked very hard case and won! Mr. Hartt is very efficient, caring and understanding. When you are working with him, you deal directly with him wether it’s a text message, email or phone call. No In between people.i have nothing but good to say ab...out my experience with Mr. Hartt and would use him again in a heart beat.
