I want to say a "big thank you" to the kolken team. words failed me when I received the call today that my waiver has been approved. i sobbed and cried like a baby because i thought it was not going to be possible after i messed up my first chance back in 2008/9 of getting the waiver it was denied an...d it was all my fault. i take responsibility for not been truthful at that time. After 15 years i will now be able to enter the US freely without fear of been deported. I entered the united states without inspection back in 1994, applied for asylum and lived in the US illegally for 6 years before moving to Canada. Me and my brother entered the US through the visa weaver program ESTA. We are both Irish citizens. I had a medical issue and we needed to prolong our stay. We had no idea how to get an extension on ESTA because the rules are set and you simply can't get an extension. You must go back to where you ca...me from and reapply for a visa. We needed help urgently. A friend of mine recommended us to Matthew. He went above and beyond for us and helped us get a monthly extension without having to go back to Ireland. He made a really good case on our behalf to the authorities as to why we needed the visa extension. Matthew is extremely professional and knowledgeable in his field. The case: Our initial lawyer "expected" extension of 245i at the end of 2001 and told us that it doesn't matter how we've entered and if we run out of legal status; it would all be solved by labor certification and petition for adjustment of status. Labor certification got approved, I-485, I-130..., filed concurrently and we got work authorizations, SS#'s. When case was reviewed by USCIS they had required prove for our legal status after our I-94 expired, prove of filling 245i before April 30th 2001, which we could not provide since we arrived in October 2001 and were advised that it's ok to have the status expire. Even worst, our B2 visas were not validated at our entry in 2001, but instead we were admitted on C1 - crewman visa which we also possessed. The I-485 case was appealed after denial, but we failed to support any evidence to our appeal because there was none, so in the end it was closed.
