Divorce and Family Mediation

I returned from Iraq in July 2008 and found myself in need of a Divorce Attorney. Mr. Weinrieb was initially recommended to me through my employer's famiy assistance plan. I contacted Pieter with my situation and he agreed to take my case. We met and he listened intently as I went through the specifics. He has a natural ability to make you feel at ease and has a keen understanding of these proceedings. Through the months of litigation he was very compassionate to my needs which led to a successful and fair conclusion to my case. Then again in May 2014, I was in need of attorney of Pieter's caliber to handle a family mediation situation. Without hesitation I called Pieter and he took my case. He handled this case with his expertise and professionalism that I had become accustomed to with another successful conclusion. I would highly recommend Pieter in any family type litigations. He's the Best!

Honest, Smart and Caring

Pieter Weinrieb is an excellent lawyer. He handled our custody case over the last 15 months while we fought to get sole custody of our grandson. These cases are never easy but Pieter was amazing. He always seems to know what to say and when to say it. He knows the pitfalls and guided us ever step of the way. He is respectful and always returns calls promptly. We interviewed 5 other lawyers before deciding on Mr. Weinrieb. We absolutely chose the best lawyer. So much is done behind closed doors so you really need to make sure that your attorney knows what you want and always has your back and always has your best interest at heart. Pieter does that and more. He is simply the best lawyer in Buffalo. Having watched other lawyers talking with their clients while waiting for a case to be called you soon realize that many of them are just going through the motions and have little knowledge about the case and probably have not talked to their client or reviewed the case before walking through the doors. If your case is important do not put it in the hands of someone who really does not care. Pieter cares about his clients and never walks in unprepared. The life of our very young grandson was at stake and never lost sight of that. Thank God we chose Mr. Weinrieb.

AMAZING Attorney

What can I say? I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Weinrieb. He is an incredible Attorney. He is caring, compassionate, and truly cares about his clients. I came to Mr. Weinrieb with an extremely difficult situation. My previous lawyer quit before trial and I presented him with my case/situation on very short notice. One where 9 other Attorneys said nothing was possible and laughed at the situation. When I first met him and told him this he snickered and said he will work to the best of his ability, and he absolutely did. He went above and beyond for my case. And proved large attorney firms wrong. His response rate was fast and he was informative and very honest. When he said he was on something he stuck to his word and got things done fast. Mr. Weinriebs rates are also absolutely incredible and extremely fair for custody proceedings. He was literally the QB and made every play with my sons best interests in mind. Thats what you want in a lawyer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Mr. Weinrieb you give attorneys a very good name. Knowledgeable and Professional

Upon first meeting with Pieter I knew he was very educated and honest. I felt very at ease that he would provide my family the best representation. One key thing about Pieter is he is very family oriented and centered on doing what’s best for the entire family. Throughout the court process Pieter was firm in respecting my requests as well as very fair in how we handled matters placed in front of us. He is highly respected in the court room and legal community. At every court appearance he was on time and prepared. As mentioned it is rare you’ll find a lawyer whose main goal is to heal families and put the children’s needs first. Pieter helped us rebuild our family while teaching us how to coparent. In the end things went our way. If you are looking for a reliable, honest and family centered attorney Pieter is that. His rates are reasonable and he takes time to talk to you when needed and often sent a text checking on my boys after their first few visits back with their dad, not because he had to but because he was genuinely concerned for the children. Helpful, knowledgable, supportive

After a lengthy divorce (dragged on by other lawyers but swiftly concluded once I switched representation to Mr. Weinrieb), I found myself having to navigate the Family Court system to resolve some outstanding issues with my ex-husband. Although these were minor issues, commonly encountered after a divorce, due to my previous lengthy divorce experience, I found the whole thing very intimidating. Mr. Weinrieb did not disappoint this time either. Not only was he extremely helpful, he was supportive. The outstanding issues were resolved quickly thanks to his assistance. I will always be grateful to him.

Child Advocate

Pieter was our granddaughter's court appointed lawyer. For the past two years he has done a terrific job protecting her. Due to HIS diligence, amazing, wonderful and caring self, Pieter has been a part of a miraculous court decision. We were awarded Parental Custody! My review

Pieter took on my restraining order and divorce case. Things didn't go our way for the most part and mistakes were made but we were battling tough circumstances. My ex wife is crazy. She manipulated the court system to take my kids from me and purgered herself so many times I lost count. Her attorney was flat out unethical as well, begging for adjournments for bogus reasons, stating things that were false as facts. It was a nightmare. Pieter stayed calm and collected throughout the process, even with me when I had to vent. We spent a lot of time together and he's a good guy in general. We both love classic movies, like "krull", and he has good taste in hiring. His intern who came with him to court, I forget her name, was very impressive and intelligent. All in all it was a miserable experience, but if I'm going to lose money to a lawyer at least I feel good giving it to someone that's a loving father with kids of his own.

Legal Advice

My soon-to-be-ex and I are going through mediation to save money but I had done some things throughout the process that could have really damaged my standings when it came to custody. Separation Discussion

Pieter Weinrieb was my attorney for my separation. He was tremendously helpful during an exceptionally difficult time. He gave me a great deal of information. It's a tough position to feel emotionally vulnerable and rely on the advice of someone else, but Pieter is honest and trustworthy. He was incredibly supportive, helpful, compassionate and informative. I would highly recommend his counsel. He is family oriented, and it shows in his practice.

Pieter Weinrieb is an exceptional attorney with clear understanding and empathy towards a peaceful resolution to a difficult process. He understands that when children are involved in a separation or divorce, that it is complicated. Top notch!!!

Hired Mr Weinrieb for a New State Family Court issue. It was an issue that isn't usually seen but was wrapped up in a very short time. It saved me thousands. He fights the fight for you and is a honorable person. He will be the first that I call on if I need help again.
