Everyone thinks that their case is different and they might be right. I had situation where I and my family were detained. Mr.Kolken was 3rd lawyer that I asked help. First 2 lawyers told me that “case is impossible to win”, despite that Mathew Kolken agreed to accept case and said “I can not promi...se 100% win, but I will do my best and fight for you till my knockles bleed” and he did it. I just got judges verdict that he aprooved my status. He will get into your shoes and feel your pain. Is it easy to work with him? I would say not that easy. I had a days when he was harsh. I had days when I was ready to give up, and he would get upset. Yes, he is demanding when it comes to case. He will make sure that all documents provided on time. Will I suggest to anyone? It has taken a long time to write this review, because it is hard to put into words how grateful we are for Matthew Kolken and his team. As the Thanksgiving holiday has just passed by, we took a moment to reflect on this past year and what we are most thankful for. My husband recently received his ...green card, which he has been battling to get for over 10 years. We hired Matthew and his firm just over 2 years ago, and it is because of their help that my husband is now a permanent legal resident. It was not an easy case for the team, with my husband having a dui, previous marriage, and a denied I-485 application. From the beginning Matthew told us that it would be an uphill battle, but assured us that he would not lose. We hired him after one 30 minute consultation and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. His paralegal, Mary Jo, was exceptional! With the amount of paperwork required for our case, it would've been easy to miss any number of details, but she did not miss a beat. She knew exactly what we needed and kept everything extremely organized. Whenever we had questions or concerns, she was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly. During the process of submitting our applications, I took a job opportunity in another state forcing us to move, but they continued to work with us throughout the entire process. Our interview had to be completed in our new location, so instead of charging us for an entire day to travel, Matthew connected us with someone he knew in our area to accompany us to our interview. Even so, Matthew still took the time to thoroughly prep us and put our minds at ease before heading into this nerve-racking step. Two weeks after our interview, before we could even check our own mail, Mary Jo called us with the news that our applications had been approved! This Thanksgiving was different for us than any other. My husband now has a full time job with benefits and health insurance, and we have nothing holding us back from our future. Thankful for Kolken & Kolken would be an understatement.

I had retained Mr. Matthew Kolken first in 2010 to help with my green card application. Fighting what seemed like a lost cause, Mr. Kolken was able to help me secure my green card. I utilized his expertise once again for my naturalization application. As expected, I walked out my interview with the U...SCIS officer granting my request. Due to the nature of my case, the level of stress and anxiety involved would have been tenfold had Mr. Kolken not been there every step of the way to guide me . I would also like to mention his team consisting of Mary Jo, who has the answer to any immigration related question.
