30 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (PATENTS, COPYRIGHT, TRADEMARK) AND ENTERTAINMENT LAW

I am a trial lawyer and client counselor focusing on intellectual property, patent litigation, commercial litigation, entertainment law, civil liberties law, constitutional law and criminal defense. I believe in maintaining a varied law practice, representing both individual and corporate clients. Further, I believe it is important to engage in pro bono representation of clients on matters that serve the public interest, and I have devoted a considerable amount of effort on pro bono matters, including representation of death row inmates seeking post-conviction relief. I also try to make room in my practice for developing relationships with individuals in the entertainment business and small businesses who are at the beginning of their careers and need kind and realistic advice and assistance from a lawyer who truly cares. I pick up my own phone when you call me and I will always return your e-mails, phone calls and text messages. More recently I have come to realize the enormously positive impact that the internet and other new technologies can have on the legal profession--resulting in more productive, efficient and successful attorney-client relationships.

Got an IP attorney?

Maurice Ross is very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to help my company and make sure nothing was overlooked such as risk of competitors, trademark infringement risk and many other things related with a start-up that our company was not aware of. Learning Experience

Reading Att. Ross's answer to my question was for me a learning experience. This is my first year that I actually set out to start the business idea that I've had for many years. Detail-oriented, straightforward, and thorough

I had a very tricky question regarding copyright law and Mr. Ross paid attention to every detail of my question. I've asked this same question of other attorneys, and typically have had to repeat myself twice, but Mr. Ross is a stickler for detail, and he caught it the first time around. He also answered my question in depth and gave me more information than what I even could have hoped for. It's clear that Maurice Ross is a good person to have on your side, and presents an honest and thorough legal perspective. Thank you!

Showed me a right path to move on legal issues.

Firstly i am not a client to Mr.Ross, just an member of avoo. I had a concern about IP & copyright for my upcoming business. He responded with my concern, showing a good way to proceed over. He gave me simple clues which helped me to get my work done, which would cost you pretty much outside. He over delivered what i need, very funny & informative too. BTW he is really a champ & i understood he know's what he does ;) Highly recommend for any IP or Copyright issues.

Mr. Maurice Ross helped me.

Mr Ross responded to a question I posted on AVVO. He did this without me contacting him. He helped me pro bono by listening to my issue and giving me expert advice. He then asked me to call him personally and we discussed the issue over the phone. He really cared and had genuine concern. He gave me great advice and even made a call on my behalf. It was great talking law with him.

CEO of Gomination

I been working with Maurice almost 1 year. Great thing about him is he knows music,. He plays piano, check king recent radio hit, love to go to night club etc... That's a big difference than other lawyer. I strongly recommend about him.

Maurice Ross is an IP genius

Mr Ross took time from his very busy practice to advise me about a threat to sue me for trademark violation. I had published a full page ad in a Washington newspaper that included a photo of a still shot of video of me on tv, which included the TV station's trademarked logo in that still shot. A nasty-gram from the TV's lawyers followed causing me to reach out for Mr. Ross' expertise. His advice was thoughtful, sound, and went beyond discussing my legal jeopardy by suggesting future ways to avoid the problem and still achieve my advertising goals. I cannot recommend this guy enough. Give him a call.
