Helping people who are not use to the criminal process is an important part of the case,; I appreciate your comments on that aspect of the representation. An OUI trial is about showing that the officer’s observations can be explained by a number of things. What you saw is creating reasonable doubt by showing that the officer’s observations did not match up with the picture of someone drunk. In a criminal case, the Government is obligated to do this to the high degree of certainty required by proof beyond a reaonable doubt. As a lawyer, my job is to teach the jury what this means, that it is a high standard to convict someone of a crime in this country. I am glad that this case worked out for you and you are able to go back to focusing on your career and family.
