My insurance company denied a routine medical procedure that was performed. I spent HOURS on the phone with the insurance company's Customer Representatives and was given a different reason for my denial every time. The doctor's offices wrote two letters requesting reconsideration and appeal . The answers to the first letter did not even address the question and request. Bills were coming in and I was afraid our credit would be ruined before the issue was resolved. I made an appointment with Ben Glass. His assistant, Cheryl, was wonderful and worked me into his busy schedule. He was saw me precisely at our scheduled (I appreciate someone who appreciates my time!) time; listened while I explained the situation; asked questions and took notes. He related a similar problem that he had personally experienced with this Company which made me think there was some hope! Let's face it, when you have to see an attorney it's just about always concerning a stressful situation. He made me feel comfortable. He advised me as to whom I needed to contact, what to ask and what to request, and also how to make the contact (letter, certified mail). My denial was overturned! Victory! I beat the big, bad insurance company. I have complete confidence in Ben Glass and would not hesitate to call him again or refer him.

I would highly reccomend Ben Glass to everyone looking for an attorney. He was also recommended to me. Ben was very compasionate, caring, and empathetic. He acted upon my case immediately and kept me informed at all times. If I had a question, I received a call back right away with an answer. He was always there for me every step of the way, until he WON my case. His entire staff were amazing! Ben fought hard for me and won! Ben was never in a rush with me as most attorneys are! I was treated with the highest professionalism and on a one to one client.

I have been a client of Ben Glass Law for over 8 years. I had been a client of a colleague for 4 years prior as my claim for LTD from my company and Social Security was established. As I proceeded into maintenance in 2005 Ben's colleague suggested I secure The Ben Glass Law firm if accepted. In our first meeting I realized that this man embodied the values to which I aspire as a person: he was straight forward in what I should expect of him and what were my responsibilities for truth and communication in every stage of the process going forward with my LTD company. He managed the communication with the company for I had talked to so many negative members of the company that the maintenance phase had become the center of my existenance. Ben helped me realize that the company was doing only what they saw as their duty, and at one point he talked to them to my benefit. My LTD company was very active in it's oversight. I had to have dozens of questions answered, get lab studies, have my physicians fill out information even though they did not treat me for the diagnosis at hand; Degenerative Disk Disease with the accompanying chronic pain of a very high range on the pain scale. This subtly cost me relationships with those practitioners. Ben Glass was always "there." for me. Since the LTD company required this process every year or 2 and the time it took me about 6 months to get all the information , I was physically and emotionally spent much of the time. Ben understood the strain and took the time to listen to questions and decrease my fears.
Ben Glass Law has several more attorneys now and I assure you that the values of responsibility, truth, sterling character, fairness and compassion are the same as his. Money is not his major currency. Rather, he is fair and honest, and his living is made through his code of helping others.

Ben represented me in a wrongful death action for a member of my immediate family, which was very hard for me to process emotionally--I imagine that's true for everyone dealing with something like this. He struck the perfect balance between genuine empathy and rational asssessment and advice. While he made no promises about how things would turn out, his predictions about the likely process and outcomes were spot-on throughout. I always felt fully informed and prepared. His staff, to a person, was exceptionally responsive, kind, and super-competent. I have been fortunate to have had few occasions to require an attorney, but this was my best experience.

I had a consultation with Ben to see If I had a case against a hospital. It took me over an hour to explain. Ben explained why it was not a good idea to go forward and we then spent some time talking about alternatives. I had offered to pay for the consutation since I guessed that I would not be able to go forward with the case, but Ben would not accept payment.

Thanks Ben for the great consultation, the office support and the free books to help me with my disability claim. The information you provided helped me to get my claim approved without hiring a lawyer. Our one on one personal consultation and your firm’s resources provided confidence and reduced a lot of stress and anxiety for me during these troubled times. My family and I appreciate your help. Most respectfully Harold

I met with Ben yesterday regarding a motorcycle accident which I was seeking some advice. He and his associate were very professional, honest, and up front about what I needed to do going forward and gave me advice on how to continue the claims process. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is dealing with a personal injury claim because he breaks everything down into the simplest terms and makes sure you are comfortable with everything going on.

When you are the innocent victim and injured party, due to an auto accident; the recipient of thousands of dollars in medical bills, and have concerns about whether or not the "other" insurance company will pay those bills and fairly compensate you for all you've been through, to meet someone like Mr. Glass may be the first positive encounter you can have when dealing with the unknown.
His demeanor from the moment he said "hello," to his endless patience as I delivered the long story, sometimes rambling, demonstrated his genuine care and concern. He made it perfectly clear that not all cases require engaging his firm, but he went on to explain that he has provided the educational tools and materials for a person to feel confident in representing themselves if that becomes their preference.
Today was my first meeting with Mr, Glass and while it is not 100% clear that I may need legal counsel for this particular case, what is abundantly clear to me is that his approach to dealing with a potential client is remarkably refreshing in a world where most lawyers would never take the time he did or offer the alternatives.
In the end I may be able to handle my own case and if I do it successfully, it will be due to Mr. Ben Glass. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know who is looking for a lawyer with Intelligence and Integrity.

Mr. Glass has been very helpful in my appeal for long term disability. I was able to get an appointment shortly after I called his office. Mr. Glass scheduled plenty of time to hear all about my case (including a very lengthy medical history). He wrote a very thorough and compelling appeal letter. Whenever I have needed to come in to talk with Mr. Glass he has always made time to see me within a short time of my request. Mr. Glass stayed late on a Friday evening to make sure that the last minute documentation that I brought in was sent to & received by the insurance company within the time restrictions. Mr. Glass always keeps me abreast of the status of my case. Not only is he very professional and has a GREAT expertise in his field, Mr. Glass is also a compassionate and generous person. He obviously cares a great deal about his clients. His office staff is always friendly, courteous, and very responsive. I have even gotten emails regarding my case over the weekend. I am so relieved that Mr. Glass is the attorney representing me in my long term disability case.

No one ever told me that when I paid for disability insurance for all those years that the goal of the insurance company was to not pay even if I did become disabled. People just don't realize when they take out these policies, that the insurance companies really never expect to pay and will go to all lengths not to. My case seemed to be clear cut to the social security administration, but the insurance company still was determined they were not going to pay. Although, what they did not expect was that I knew who to call. I called Ben Glass and he went over my case and I basically put everything solely in his hands. He did not disappoint and was able to prove my case and put things right. I know that the insurance company will periodically try to reject me. But, I am truly able to relax about everything now because I know Mr. Glass will be there to protect me (stand up for me and my rights). Amazing what a difference that knowing he is in my corner as made to me and my state of mind.

I sought a consultation concerning a disability claim and was pleased by Mr. Glass’s positive outlook. He spent the hour with me and then offered to “look over my shoulder” for any submissions to the insurance companies. He made me feel like I have a guiding hand in handling my claim. He did subsequently review some documents for me just as he had promised and got back to me right away. I feel lucky to have him in my corner.

Ben Glass and his firm are extremely resourceful and responsive, they have truly impressed me. I was involved in a car accident with someone who was high and drunk, and was arrested for a DWI. The person's car insurance company was bullying and pressuring me. I was injured in the accident and still going through treatment, so wanted to get some guidance and advice from a personal injury lawyer before talking to the insurance company. I had talked to 2 lawyers prior to finding Ben. The first one was extremely nonchalant, and almost dismissive about my concerns. The second lawyer, never personally talked to me but was quick to send me a personal injury legal fee agreement, which made me extremely uneasy - needless to say I never signed it - and he never followed up. I found Ben while researching on the internet on a Saturday evening, I called his office and figured I would leave a message, but to my surprise a live human being answered. The office was closed, but the operator got my information, so someone could get back to me first thing on Monday. Ben's staff called me back, as promised, they were patient and understanding, and set up a free consultation. Upon meeting with Ben he was thorough, knowledgeable, and honest, which gave me absolute peace of mind. I knew I had made a smart decision and felt like I was in good hands. Ben gave me a couple of possibilities on next steps and followed up with me after our meeting. Ben Glass is a rare breed, he is an ethical lawyer with impressive integrity. I will certainly tell everyone I know about Ben. I will go back to him once my injuries heal, so he can help me deal with the auto insurance company. He empowered me with knowledge and confidence that my case would would get resolved, and most importantly that I would be taken care of. Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart.

I learned about Ben Glass while researching other attorneys. I called two Fairfax attorneys and both spoke very highly of Ben and his practice. He is good standing with the bar, etc. I made an appointment after picking up his book on "Robbery Without a Gunâ€. His staff was great and Ben introduced himself to me as he stepped out of a meeting and saw me reviewing material in the hallway. I related to him the problem I was having finding a good attorney to represent me with my disability. He said, "Stop, you have an attorney". This was a load office my mind. I had been struggling over a year or so, looking for the right help since having had brain surgery and a laminectomy. At my appointment he enlightened me about ERISSA and SSDI laws. He offered me his conference room for an upcoming meeting with an investigator. Ben and his staff are warm and caring people. If you need an attorney do hesitate to contact Ben Glass.

Ben Law is one of the best attorneys I've ever met....and I've met many! I'm an RN helping car insurance company in evaluating injuries from accidents, so I know plaintiff attorneys and our company has great defense attorneys. It's wonderful to know both sides! In fact, my company attorney who is also a friend knew I needed a great attorney right now and recommended Ben. And our initial meeting hit it off immediately..... a great relationship. See, I've always been smart and much to impress, but since 2009 I've been fighting cancer and after 2010 successfully at breast, found a brain tumor on my brain 12/30/10 and had surgery 1/20/11. I am blessed to walk and talk but unable to be an employed nurse because my brain just doesn't have the info I've gathered all these years (since 1974). I took a nurse case manager friend since I've been on the Board of the Va Assn Rehab Nurses over 20 years and want to make sure we do everything completely accurate. She was so impressed too!! He led us through the procedure for retirement on disability that can be difficult but even greater with a client who's brain has been damaged!
He proved immediate concern, concentration, answers, recommendations and has greatly assisted the process. This protects me AND my family (2 adult children, 4 grandchildren and husband of 36 years). WOW.
Thank you so much! Blessings, Jeanne

Ben Glass is professional, personable, and truly empathetic to our situation. He is direct and clear with his questions and is clear and concise with his advice and opinions. There are no false expectations....no pie in the sky promises....just a very honest and realistic opinion of the existing facts and what can be expected, according to the law. You know where you stand....and you feel confident in Ben's knowledge and experience with disability law....it's a fair and square relationship from the first moment you speak. It's very comforting, as a client under duress, to know you are in excellent hands...you've made an excellent choice in choosing Ben Glass to represent you.

A friend of mine with similar medical conditions recommended Mr.Glass to me. I contacted their office because my company paid LTD claim was pending for over one year. Mr. Glass and his assistant provided me with free advice and mailed me some of Mr. Glass's free informative books about LTD insurance and claims. Because of much difficulty and confusion about my specific LTD case I scheduled what I thought to be a very expensive one hour consult with Mr. Glass and the assistant told me that the "consult would be money well spent." She was 100% correct as my LTD claim was approved after following Mr. Glass's advice. Mr. Glass would take my case if my claim was denied which it hadn't been...yet!. I found Mr. Glass to be knowledgeable about medical conditions as well as his own legal profession. He was friendly as well as compassionate about my medical conditions and need for LTD. He was straightforward in telling me that Fibromyalgia and Late Stage Lyme Disease were difficult to prove for LTD. He told me up front what the costs would be should he take my case for an appeal and/or to court. With his permission I recorded the entire consult as my memory and note taking skills are impaired. I highly recommend Mr. Glass for anyone looking to go on LTD and/or having filed for LTD. In addition I would recommend reading Mr. Glass's book entitled "Robbery Without a Gun" before selecting LTD insurance...such as company vs private insurance. Prior to my experience as well as reading his book I never realized how difficult that company provided LTD insurance could be! In addition I didn't feel pressured by Mr. Glass to take my case right away...I saved thousands and thousands of dollars by consulting with Mr. Glass, filing the claim myself, and by actually following Mr. Glass's advice. Staff warm and professional.

Mr.Glass helped me determine what action needed to be taken against a non-responsive insurance company. Prior to seeking counsel I felt uneasy about my case and process. After meeting with Mr.Glass the rest of the process felt smooth and comfortable. I had someone I can trust to have my best intrest at all time. He even gave advice on how I could handle certain aspects myself to save money rather than charging me for him to do it. Very trustworthy and gives reassurance and clarity to area's of doubt I had regarding my case. Great Lawyer who had my intrest first above all.

Ben sat down with my husband and I for a good part of his morning to go over a car accident I was involved it. He laid out all of our options, gave us advice on what to send in and what not to, and gave us realistic expectations on dealing with a car insurance agency. Ben is a class act and someone I would absolutely recommend should any of my friends or family need an attorney.

I met with Ben Glass about an automobile accident in which I sustained injuries (whiplash and concussion). He spent about an hour with me, giving me all the time I needed to explain about the accident, its aftermath, and my frustration in dealing with the insurance company, After he'd gathered the information, he presented the various options, including me continuing to represent myself (even giving me tips on how to do that ) and a full and complete explanation of what his services could offer me. I feel I left there with all the information I needed to make an informed decision about what route would be best for me and my family. I think Mr. Glass has a sincere desire to help the public in legal matters, in contrast to attorneys who simply desire to build a larger clientele base.

I met with Ben Glass a few months ago after deciding to file a personal injury claim from a car accident. Mr. Glass met with me and we had a focused, open discussion about the steps I needed to take to put together a settlement claim. His instructions were clear and he was available to support me throughout the process. I cannot recommend Ben Glass Law highly enough!

I first contacted Ben Glass about a week after my car accident. He gave me sound advice for how to handle my physical therapy treatment, auto body dealings, and communication with the other party's insurance agency. More recently he has helped me map a plan to help settle my case on my own. Ben Glass is a very knowledgeable and effective lawyer. He clearly answered my questions and helped put me at ease about how to handle my case.

I am very pleased with my overall experience with the Ben Glass Law firm. I was searching for an attorney to assist me with my auto accident case. My fiance found Mr. Glass' website for me and from the beginning I was impressed with the level of information I was provided before I scheduled a face-to-face consultation. I appreciated this very much because it made me more comfortable about allowing an attorney to assist me in settling my case. I recently met with Mr. Glass in person for an office consultation and I found him to be very personable and frank about whether he could assist me with my case. He was not pushy and left me with enough information to peruse before making my final decision. I believe that Mr. Glass is an attorney you can trust to work hard for you and to be frank about his ability to help your case. I would definitely recommend him to my family, friends, and colleagues. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet with him and potentially work with him on my case.

First meeting was long and focused on the case. Ben's team sat down with me and listened and took notes, asked questions, provided information that I was not aware of which made me very comfortable and confident that they are honest and open and would take my case seriously and put all effort into it. At no point during my meeting, I felt that they wanted to end the conversation to save time even if I provided information more than needed.

Ben and his team were professional at all times. The disability insurance company was clearly wrong and he put an appeal together from my wife's medical files and insurance company records. He was clear, logical, and extremely persuasive.
He set our expectations on the process, what the insurance company would / do / say. His office followed up and gave clear consistent counsel.
Ben is a wonderful addition to Fairfax, an honest, ethical and talented lawyer. We heard about him from our family doctor and would gladly recommend him to anyone.

This is our first experience meeting with a lawyer. Surprisingly, our meeting with Ben went so well. It was very informative and educational. After listening to my case patiently, Ben analyzed all possible outcome of my case and advised us what actions I should take to protect my rights. The benefits we gained from this very first meeting with Ben didn’t end on that day, because we are still reading the books he wrote, which he handed to us before we left …..
We felt that we were so lucky because we found a lawyer who can help us and whom we can trust. Thank you so much, Ben!

Grab a coffee, it may take a few minutes for me to truly tell you about my experience(s) with Ben Glass. I actually have had the medical misfortune causing me to be a “frequent filer” with Ben & his highly competent staff. Two unlikely medical mishaps-one in 2005, the other two years later, both life-altering. With the 1st one, once I was out of the woods, a friend of a friend recommended a personal injury attorney, (Not Ben Glass) and I signed with him. In VA you only have two years to file from the date of injury, and just before that date, this lawyer decided to leave the practice he was in, strike out on his own…. Best thing that ever happened to me.
I had to “re-sign” with him, and told my mom I was having second thoughts. My mom… who is always right… pulled an article that she had been saving from a few years back, out of her secretary. “I know I mentioned this man to you before, but you were too overwhelmed to interview more than one, so you went with the advice of your friend. Now I AM telling you, CALL BEN GLASS.” She had read his name in the paper on several occasions, this one in particular was an article reported in the Washington Post about a difficult case involving an HMO, which I was a member of. I took the article, and her advice, and thanked God for His guidance too. Thankful that I didn’t allow my guilt for taking away what the other lawyer assured me was going to be “the cornerstone” of his new practice- meaning to convince me it would be priority #1- but to me translated into one he was going to be cutting his teeth on. And thankful that I had another lawyer to compare Ben to.
After going through the outstanding & efficient screening process Ben has created and put in place with your first call to his office, I felt confident that 1st meeting was not going to be a waste of my time or Ben’s. I left not sure who had actually interviewed who, but feeling a whole lot better about my case. He and his office staff jumped right on it. But when the initial flurry of paperwork had been caught up, I was able to catch my breath and knew they’d let me know what was next and when they needed me. The office frequently touts their communication policy, and they should, because it works! When the time came to focus on my case, they were on it, 100%, no distractions. We were ready to go to trial because the insurance company waited until the last minute to show an interest in mediation. In the end, mediation was a success. Ben and his staff was consistently organized, thorough, professional and always exhibited integrity in dealing with “the other side”. I think I fared well because of his reputation for that, in both cases.
Two doctors and a laboratory, over an 18 month time period, permanently altered my life as I knew it. Ben Glass, in the two years that followed, helped give me & my family some semblance of quality back & ensure their (my children’s) stability for the future….

Ben is one of the top two attorneys I have had the pleasure of working with over the last 20 years in business and personal legal issues.
He is focused and fierce in his determination to serve his client's needs, yet friendly at all times. He is insightful, responsive and always open to input from the client's perspective on even the most detailed of legal points. He clearly knows what he is doing, but welcomes other views from which to learn and make valued judgments that will serve the client with even better long-term advice.
My first encounter with Ben was in handling a dispute over a disability claim. Could not have asked for better advice and legal representation.
I have since returned to Ben for his opinion on related issues, and now am working with him on a malpractice case.
I trust his judgment completely and welcome the time we spend together.

My teenage daughters were involved in a serious two car accident and the first thing I was concerned about was their safety. Luckily they were barely hurt. The second thing I was worried about was the safety of the other driver - she sustained injuries. The third thing I was worried about was the legal issues, concerns, and liability of my daughters and me. Ben talked to me right away and gave me the piece of mind I was hoping to find. One of the questions he asked me early in the call was "did you follow my advice I gave you in my book "How to Buy Car Insurance? when I answered "yes!" he told me that I really was going to be fine. He also told me what I should next and he stayed with me throuhgout the experience. I highly recommend Ben Glass to anyone who is involved in a accident or needs legal advice.

After I was rear ended by a tractor trailer truck while stopped in traffic on the Washington beltway, my husband contacted Ben Glass. At first, I said we don't need a lawyer. Believe me, we did. Ben was patient and kind and although the truck driver was at fault, we were never offered a penny until less than a week before trial date 2 years and 9 months later. (My medical bills were over $150,000.) The first small offer was weeks after the only professional witness on their side stated in an independent exam that all my medical care was due to this accident. They never denied fault. Although my life has been dramatically affected, I found many injuries are hard to prove medically. The insurance company lawyers dug into absolutely everything in my past, affected my relationships with my personal physicians, and tried to make me feel like my life didn't matter. They were like little rats who latched on and wouldn't let go. I know I deserved more than what we got in settlement, and I still live every day with pain and limitations. I still pay several thousand dollars out of pocket yearly when I decide to once again try to find solutions to my pain. My career I worked so hard for was destroyed. We were offered a somewhat decent settlement and I did not want to go to trial, so we settled our case. We had no way of knowing what a Northern Virginia jury would decide and Ben helped us to be realists. You can not depend upon your doctors to save your case because they don't like this kind of stuff. We knew from the beginning to not expect a very high settlement even though it was one of the most severe type of accidents that could happen. I was fortunate to live through it and still be able to lead a somewhat decent life. There are nights I still can't sleep and sob for the pain, when I have doubts about accepting the settlement, but I have seen what the insurance company lawyers can do, and believe me, you do need a lawyer. Ben guided us through a difficult time with empathy, knowledge, and realism.

We were led to Mr. Ben Glass through his books and radio spots on WMAL. We ordered his books and read them cover to cover. (We also used the information in the books to vet other personal injury attorneys). After discussions with several personal injury lawyers, we decided to give Mr. Glass a call. On initial call, we were told he was extremely busy and unable to consider our case. After taking time to speak directly with my wife, he agreed to see us and listen to my wife's case. When we met, Mr Glass and his staff were consummate professionals. Mr. Glass listened intently and after a few minutes agreed to take my wife’s case. This is notable because we were made aware that he accepted very few cases and was extremely busy. Since he has been handling the case, it almost feels like we are on autopilot . We receive consistent updates on the case and information gathering efforts of his staff. We also receive the literature and information requests to make sure my wife was doing okay and asking if we have any questions or need anything. His legal expertise has been a great service to my wife and I. Mr. Glass has relieved the stress of worrying about how the case will be settled. We are fully confident that he will be able to handle all aspects of the case. We look forward to a long relationship with Mr. Glass’ office, not only as attorney/client but as friends of the family.

This guy is sharp. An ethical sharp. He knows what he is doing and my wife and I felt very comfortable consulting with him and hired him.
He is a published author and gave us several resources to read before deciding to retain him. One thing he was most concerned about was whether or not we needed a lawyer or whether with a little guidance, it was a case we could could resolve to our satisfaction without paying him a fee! That was a refreshing change in any business, especially in these economic times.
To have a lawyer (or any service provider) to be more concerned about our situation than his fee, was almost unbelievable.
If you are looking for a knowledgeable, ethical and intelligent personal injury lawyer whose focus is you and your situation, that is more concerned with helping than he is getting paid, I can think of no other lawyer I would rather have on my side.
