Biography
I am an accomplished trial attorney with over three decades of civil trial experience. I have practiced in both state and federal courts. My legal affiliations include the State Bar of Texas, The United States District Court for the Southern District, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. I am a member of the Texas Bar College and the Texas Pro Bono College and the Houston Bar Association. I have handled cases before civil county and district courts throughout Texas.
I have been recognized in Strathmore’s Who’s Who of Professionals as Top lawyer in North America and by the Dallas News as a Top Lawyer in Texas.
I have been lead counsel in hundreds of cases, ranging from small controversies to million dollar cases. I am a certified mediator with a degree from the University of Houston Law Center- AA White Division with over 120 hours of mediation training. I generally try to perform at least 2 pro bono mediation’s per month as a community service.
My career encompasses many areas of the law. It includes commercial, toxic tort, insurance defense and subrogation, condemnation, constitutional, personal injury, partnership, business, and real estate law.
I have been a businessman since 1992. I am currently a managing shareholder in Bain & Bain, PLLC, and formerly a shareholder/ partner in Soape, Brown, McDermott, P.C.
I have strong credentials in his community, as well as in the courtroom. I served on former President Bush’s staff from 1988-1992, and on his Vice Presidential staff from 1984-1988. I also served as a staff member at the 1992 Republican National Convention. I represented the United States as a staff member at the 1990 Economic Summit of Industrialized Nations. I still represent the Bush family.
I have served as a registered Boy Scout Leader for over twenty years, as the Troop Assistant Scout Master and a Cub Scout Pack Den Leader.
I am a devoted husband and father. Married for 36 years, my wife and I , Joanie Lucci Bain, have four wonderful sons: Cpt. Bruce Bain II, USAF (Eagle Scout), Nick (Texas A&M, Eagle Scout), Michael (University of Texas, Eagle Scout), and Cameron (Texas A&M, Eagle Scout).
I attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1981 with a B.A. in Government. At U.T., I served as a Student Union representative, an Intra-fraternity Council Member, and as President of my Fraternity. I was also a member of the U.T. Young Republicans. My wife and I met while attending U.T. and we married one week after graduation, and moved to Houston where we both attended law school.
I obtained my J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1985. While attending law school, I earned the prestigious American Jurisprudence Award. I was also on the Dean’s List, and selected by Who’s Who of American Law Students.

Car situation
Mr. Bain reviewed an issue I had with a car I purchased and was very helpful. Even though he could not take the case he referred me to one on his colleagues for review. Thank you so much for one listening and two for taking the time to respond.
