Ed is definitely an experienced criminal defense attorney in Bay area. Ed role-played the alleged DV incident to understand what really has happened. He was enthusiastic and detail-oriented. Communication was easy since he is directly available on phone and no need to explain to multiple admin staff.... He kept the case status informed that it was dismissed way before attending the 1st court hearing. Post case dismissal communication could be better since some of the same aspects come in family divorce & dvro case later.

dward knows the system back and forth, but it felt like he's been doing this for too long and lost his touch of taking care of each client as a person. He barely displayed any empathy, except a single time that I can remember. He was often annoyed talking with anyone because he is so impatient, and ...mostly kept telling me that he was doing a great job and I should be happy with the outcome. Of course, he did get me a plea bargain that was a lesser one than the ridiculous things I was charged with, but it didn't seem like he got me the best terms possible for that verdict (the terms of probation were quite bad, while he told me they were no big deal and never discussed them with me as part of the proposed settlement). So, it could have been worse, he did do work, but he was not good at communicating the work he did do and generally didn't seem to care about any details because he always knew better. That was very frustrating & vexing, and in the end, I don't think he got the best outcome he could have. I definitely felt like nothing more than a number, and I'm sure things could have been better if he had been a better communicator.

Long story short, I was wrongfully accused by an angry ex girlfriend. In the beginning I hired a different lawyer who said my case couldn’t get past preliminary trial because it was too weak and it did go past preliminary trial. I then found out about Ed and hired him immediately after meeting with h...im and explaining what was going on. Ed has way more experience, he is better connected and maintained much better communication with me. Ed got my case dismissed in a reasonable amount of time. After dealing with this problem and learning about the system I am incredibly grateful to have met Ed.

I found myself in a very difficult alleged felony DV AND robbery case. It was a total nightmare situation. Not only was I being accused of the two felony’s but there was also a video footage that was reviewed by police resulting in my arrest. This was submitted into evidence which made this case more... of a challenge. After being released on bail, I spent several days interviewing every lawyer listed within my area. This was very stressful especially since most of the lawyers I spoke to seemed to try and scare me even more once I shared the details. I found this to be a common trend and realized it was a tactic to get me to quickly pay up so that I would then feel protected. After realizing this was happening so much, my search for the right attorney became much harder. Honestly, Mr. Edward Ajlouny was just about my 100th call with a criminal defense attorney. After we spoke on the phone I knew he was worth meeting. I’m here to provide an honest review because I know just how serious and stressful this is. I will say that Mr. Ajlouny didn’t sugar coat anything. If you’re looking for an attorney to hold your hand sympathize with you and tell you everything will be ok, move on. I had a lot of emotion involved in this alleged case and there were a few times that he had to firmly remind me that unfortunately none of that mattered when it came to the law. It didn’t matter how much evidence I had that my accuser was a bad person, if it wasn’t legally useful, he would be quick to kindly yet respectfully remind me of this. Moving on, Mr. Ajlouny was quick to pull my discovery packet/police report and emailed me a copy. Upon reviewing the police report, he had already took the time to highlight what was important. The problem was that the officer reviewed video on the alleged victims Nest camera and wrote that he saw me striking the victim multiple times. I expressed to Mr.Ajlouny that I do NOT believe that I was the aggressor and that both the alleged victim and I acted out in similar fashion. Regardless of what the police officers statement was. After reenacting the incident over and over together, Mr.Ajlouny went over both the pros and cons that can result in our decision to request the video evidence that was on file. I explained that it all happened so fast (less than a min) and emotions were at an all time high. Because of the high stress I was under, I couldn’t explain any further details as the last few seconds were a total blur. We both agreed to request the video. We had already appeared three times in court and I was ready to put this behind me. Due to COVID-19 it took several attempts to get ahold of this piece of evidence but it was obvious that Mr.Ajlouny went above and beyond to get the video and copied me on several emails he sent out, keeping me in the loop. Finally, he received the video which I believe would have taken longer had he not reached out to the right contacts. I took notice to how many people knew him by name during our appearances and they seemed to take a liking to him. It was at this point that Mr.Ajlouny proved his 25+ years of experience without a doubt! Mr. Ajlouny sent me the video and before he could say anything, I thought it was bad outcome for me. The video clearly shows me striking the “victim” in the wrist just as the police officer stated in the report. BUT Mr. Edward Ajlouny AKA my hero, played the video back multiple times in slow motion and BOOM! There it was! It happens SO FAST but he was able to pause the video on the exact moment the accuser grabbed my arm restraining me from leaving the scene. Again, I was under so much stress and it happened to fast that I couldn’t even recall this happening. It was now obvious why I reacted the way I did in the video. Yesterday we appeared in-front of the judge and based on Mr. Ajlouny’s findings, my case was ENTIRELY dismissed!! Thanks to his experience and confidence I was one of those rare outcomes.
