Ginny Harjot Kaur Walia

also known as Ginny Walia, Ginny Harjot Walia

About me

My name is Ginny Walia and I am a trial lawyer. I have handled hundreds of cases throughout the California criminal and federal courts of the greater San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley. I have an extensive jury trial record, competitive attitude and a willingness to fight for my clients. I started my career with a rigourous trial training program at the San Francisco Public Defender's office. I successfully handled my first criminal jury trial against a seasoned prosecutor ten years ago and haven't looked back. Since then I have handled numerous jury trials including misdemeanors and serious felonies. I strongly believe in an accused's right to representation against charges by federal and state governments. I have commented as an expert legal analyst and a forensics expert in well publicized, high profile criminal cases on national television channels. Specifically, I commented as an expert legal analyst on the DNA evidence that was a part of the Scott Peterson case and the Natalie Holloway case. I have also written over 60 federal immigration appeals in the last decade. If you have been arrested, charged or are being investigated by state or federal authorities, you need an intelligent and a savvy defense attorney on your side. At Ginny Walia Law Offices, our team will work hard and smart to defend your rights.

Harjot Ginny Walia is one of the best criminal defense lawyer I have ever met. We have worked on few cases together and her ability to find solutions for the clients is really amazing. It is rare to find a lawyer who masters both criminal and immigration law, Harjot is one of them. I will never hesitate to refer clients to her. I am also impressed by the fact that she has been selected several times by major TV networks such as CNN, Fox News, and so on to comment on many important trials.
