Like some of us do, I found myself having a wonderful child with a not so wonderful partner. Soon enough the relationship went from terrible to worse, and I needed to get a custody order in place. Because of the complicated nature of child custody, I was referred to Nathan. As it turns out, Natha...n is the kind of attorney you can only hope is on your side of a child custody case. He walked me through every step of the process. Within days of our first phone call, I was reviewing a Request for Order. He walked me through the Declaration of Income and Expense Reports, the Plaintiff's responses. He explained in detail what each and every word meant. During the deposition, Nathan was more prepared then I could ever have imagined. He was direct and pointed, and extracted information that would be very helpful during court. Within months of serving an RFO, I quickly learned that I had been served with a restraining order. Scared out of my mind and spinning in circles, Nathan helped me navigate through it. Not only was he my lawyer, but he came a confidant. He helped me with the visit from the sheriff's department and the painful supervised visitations. The week prior to my first court date, I spoke to Nathan everyday about what the court proceeding would be like. He was very honest with me and told me that there is nothing you can do to prepare for testifying in a child custody case. He was right. There is nothing like it that I have ever experienced, but because of the relationship we had developed over the course a few months, it more was like talking to a friend across the table instead of sitting in a courtroom. On Nathan's cross examination, he was able to discredit the Respondent and get the restraining order removed. If you ever find yourself in my situation, I would highly advise that you hire Nathan. He is a great lawyer, he cares, and he will argue your case until he is blue in the face. I would give him ten stars if I could.

Mr. Gabbard is an highly strategic and thoughtful attorney who helped me with a difficult divorce case. He has a passion for the law and is genuinely concerned with justice which comes across while you work with him. I actually had another attorney before him but had to terminate him and found Mr. ...Gabbard through a referral. He came through and turned my case around and we eventually settled. I would highly recommend hiring him.

So as you read all the reviews about this guy, ask yourself if you want a nice, polite attorney? Or do you want a shark who fights for your rights? If your opposition is a great person you have a lovely relationship with, and their lawyer is a wonderful person too, give Mr. Gabbard a try. Or just DIY... it if it's that simple. Bit I would guess that most people looking for this type of attorney really need help. If that's you, and especially if losing your case will seriously wreck your life and your loved ones' lives, then RUN from Mr. Gabbard. He literally snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in my case. I've spent the last several months and a lot of $ trying to recover, and it looks like I probably never will. This guy ruined my life--not just figuratively, but literally.
