Attorney Michael Kraut is my new superhero! (Seriously) and this is why: I had two old cases, one from 1991 (age 19)- legally intoxicated because of my age/ public defender- (pleased guilty)- and another from 1995 ( age 23). A short while later, in 1996, I was struck with an illness that was ge...tting worse by the day. My condition got so bad that I ended up in a hospital and upon release, was wheelchair bound. The initial treatment was horrific- Nausea, weird rashes and reactions to medications. Then, in 1998, things got better. I hired an attorney who did nothing but make false promises and took my money. FAST FWD to May 2013- my life could not be any different. Eighteen years had passed and I do not recognize the person who got arrested. My hard work, dedication and ambition had taken me to a level I thought I would never reach- I moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco in 1999 to begin a job that literally changed my life forever. YET- I still had not taken care of that 1991/1995 issue. After hours of intensive research all indicators pointed me to Michael Kraut. He is a Harvard Alumni, former District Attorney and impeccable track record. During our first conversation he was very to the point. He listened and asked me what “I” wanted to accomplish. I stated my goals, which were to pay any fines left Get the classes done, do my community service, get my license back and not go to jail- In other words- A nearly impossible request. I say this because I had TWO separate cases. Michael immediately went to work. During his prep time I had to make a trip to LA for other business. Michael took this opportunity to personally schedule my court dates on the Friday I was there. He told me to block out the whole day. Court Case #1- from 1991-Transferred from Downey to Bellflower- He placed me on the calendar after the clerk told me “NO”- spoke to the judge in chambers about my medical condition in 1996 and here we go- I was nervous, but was ready. In court he was professional, sharp and told me exactly when to speak and when to just keep quiet. This is his playground- I was not about to question anything. By the time this case was done, my warrant was lifted, I had class reinstated and my fines were all paid. It was swift, quick and I was left speechless. This may sound easy, but trust me- it was like a well-orchestrated piece of music. Every move had a reason- it was amazing to watch. Pure magic. Court Case #2- from 1995- Alhambra. This case was not as orchestrated as the first. This took some serious back door, in court and side bar negotiations- but at the end of the day I walked out of there with a small fine, no warrant, an 18 mo. class, community service and I had to do a day in Jail- Which freaked me out. He told me to trust him- He told me when to go, what to do and say and what time to turn myself in. Long story short, I never saw the inside of the jail. The officer was super nice, and told me to have a great weekend and to never drink and drive again. If I was there for 2 minutes, that was too much. My license was a different issue. The DMV and courts do not share information, which in my case made things difficult. Regardless- by 3pm that afternoon, Michael emailed me the steps I needed to do to get my license- I was driving by Monday. What can I say?? Michael is amazing!! Most professionals in today’s world very rarely impress me. It seems most have lost their work ethic, moral compass, compassion and love for their work. NOT MICHAEL- he loves what he does and it shows in his passion to get things done. Michael is well connected, knows his stuff and made me a believer. My advice to anyone who has case as old as mine (or make your life easier by calling him first) Call Michael !! He will surly impress you too!

Early this year, I was arrested unexpectedly for a misdemeanor DUI. I only had a few drinks, and did not think much of it, as I drove home. I was pulled over for tinted windows, by CHP in Rowland Heights. The officer decided to give me a field sobriety test since it was Saturday night. I passed ever...ything, and submitted to the chemical test. I was then taken into custody soon after. I was in complete shock and disbelief. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. Michael Kraut is the best attorney we could have hoped for. Having a family member need legal counsel regarding a DUI charge in Altadena caused such stress and anxiety for the family it was unbelievable. Our fear of the unknown was the worst. I was arrested in October of 2012 for my second DUI. I spent 2 days researching different lawyers. I decided that since this was my second DUI I had to find a great lawyer. Long story short Mike made the arresting officer look like a fool and in the end had all the charges dropped and I was able to walk out with the whole ordeal behind me.
