Nancy Kardon

Nancy is good at what she does and responsive: first time I phoned to ask for a consultation, she answered her own phone! Awesome. I had tried to make appointments with several lawyers before I found her: I found them to be unavailable, obtuse, or unresponsive and was left feeling alone and dejected.... Then I phoned Nancy. She was knowledgeable, caring, and clear in her communications. I got the answers to my questions and hung up with solid information, a plan, feeling confident, and feeling like someone ( Nancy) had my back. Worth every penny. *This is my second attempt at reviewing Nancy since AVVO deleted my first review for too much detail. I hope this one goes through.

I hired Nancy for my child abuse case that I faced due to leaving my children in the car for a while without any bad intention and knowledge of the law. Before hiring her, I talked to several attorneys due to the high stress and risk of the charge I faced; she was the one who felt me the highest leve...l of trust and motivation to defend my case. She told me right away that she would be 24/7 available for me to have a phone call etc, and in several occasions, she has proven this. I do not think there is need for a specific word to tell about her experience as she is top-experienced as a seasoned attorney with many years after several years of experience as a federal prosecutor. So, she knows the justice system and can see the cases from both perspectives. I felt this phenomenon many times during my appearances with her at the Court. At the end of everything, she managed to get my case dismissed. It has been the most stressful period of my life despite being a very good learning opportunity, too. Nancy was with me throughout. All in all, I am glad and feel lucky to have found her and would work with her again (Though I hope I would never have to do so for any legal reason).

One day I found myself in an abusive relationship after my partner assaulted me and refused to pay me back for our rent and their car (both of which I was paying for after we moved from CA to CO). After deliberating all day with my parents, I decided to call the cops for protection after my ex-partne...r refused to amicably leave the lease. Unfortunately, the cops identified me as the abuser and arrested me after my ex-partner claimed their actions were done in self defense. Scared and confused, I asked my parents to find me an attorney for my defense. I'm glad they found Nancy! Nancy did well to establish contact with me while I was in jail before my PR bond hearing. After I was released on PR bond, Nancy did well to inform me of my circumstance and answer my questions of which I had plenty. I was also dealing with my emotional trauma from this case and was quite manic with asking questions, so Nancy asked me to collect my questions together and answer them in bulk instead of answering them in piecemeal. Nancy handled all the paperwork and correspondence with the court and the DA. Nancy asked me to put together documentation outlining the backgrounds of myself and my ex-partner as well as descriptions for the altercations throughout our relationship which I built up and provided. From there, Nancy identified mitigation as the best course of action for my case, so I reached out to friends and family for character witness statements. We went for continuation in court as we built up this defense. Nancy then corresponded with the DA and we received a plea bargain with a reduced charge. However, I was not satisfied with that outcome, so Nancy did well to seek more time with the DA and show how my ex-partner is abusing the system. Luckily, Nancy was able to convince the DA to drop the case altogether! All in all, this process occupied 3 months of my life. Now I'm able to continue living my life without any public marks on my record. Thank you, Nancy!

Where can I start.. About a year ago my family and I went through a rough patch. We had the DEA stormed through our house taking my entire family to jail and permanently traumatizing our children. Even though my life path is still very real, I can’t explain how grateful I am with Nancy. She believed me from the start, and never gave up through what seemed the impossible.
