Professional Attorney

Susan is a great bankruptcy attorney, she was upfront with everything about the process. I must say this was about as pleasant an experience as it could be. Thank you Susan for everything you've done for me.

Beware: she’ll take your money and not do any work for you after the free consultation visit.

We visited Susan for our “free” consultation visit and initially placed a $2,000 down payment. Later on the same day, we realized that we can’t wait 6-8 months until our case is discharged so I asked her for my money back. She only gave me half of it but refused to give me the rest. Her email said “i...t will take 90 days to close your case then we will send you a refund”....What case?? She never represented us. We never gave her our paperwork after the first visit. She had the NERVE to accuse me of not telling them we were deaf. I called them several times before the first visit using Sorensen VP Relay. That is a big “WE ARE DEAF” flag. She said that she has to charge me for the FREE consultation visit even though it is advertised on her website that it is FREE. During our visit, she answered a lot of phone calls, emails, let people walk in during our visit, etc...so it’s not like she gave us her undivided attention. So what excuse does she have to keep my remaining $1,000? NOTHING.

Thinking about bankruptcy and debating which lawyer to call, well I highly recommend the Law Office of Susan G. Taylor!

I highly recommend the Law Office of Susan G. Taylor if you are struggling with the idea of filing for bankruptcy. I looked online for lawyers and Susan's website was the one that I found the most information and resources from before even deciding to call for an appointment. In fact, there is an onl...ine tool that helps enter your situation to see if you qualify and allows Susan to analysis your information before you schedule the free consultation. The first contact with Susan was via phone and she made me felt as ease from the first moment I spoke to her. Her motherly demeanor beamed over the phone and she gave me valuable advice that helped me get my affairs in order before I actually met with her to proceed with filing. She is genuinely kind, hard working, and an intelligent lawyer. She even met with me on a weekend and filed my petition asap since she knew I needed to have my case discharged asap. Thank you Susan for helping me even beyond my bankruptcy (she has taken the time to get to know me and remembered that I mentioned my daughter was diagnosed with Lupus so she took the time to print out an article on Lupus she had read months before our appointment since she remembered my daughter was struggling with stomach pains.) I am truly grateful for all that you and your staff have done for me and my case. If you are debating on a lawyer I highly recommend you contact Susan immediately. It doesn't cost a thing to make that call or fill out the questionnaire on her website. Before you know it you will see for yourself she is genuinely a caring person that wants to help you even if it means you are better off not filing bankruptcy. Susan is straightforward and honest with you from the start so you can trust her to give you the best advice, but you must also be honest with her and be sure to disclose everything in order for her to help you the best she can. Good luck with getting the relief and 2nd chance you deserve!

DO NOT ENGAGE - short staffed and incompetent

Do not hire this lawyer. Hired her to do a means test. She calls a week later to say I would have to do Ch 13 and pay $1,500 a month. When asked about means test, we discovered it was fraught with errors. She said she would fix and call back, and never heard back from her. When I called, she was... rude, and saying she was short staffed and that I am being hurt by anything. How wrong she was while I was getting nasty threatening calls from creditors whom I owe $80,000. How could she say this, how can she look herself in the mirror. DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER

This person simply wasn't hearing what he wanted to hear. Yes, he's $80,000 or more in debt. And, at his income level simply doesn't qualify for Ch. 7. He would end up paying all of it back over a 5 year period in a Ch. 13, probably. The huge ERROR of which he is speaking is that we initially included an additional month in calculations. I caught it immediately & said we'd need to recalculate. HE HAS SIX STREAMS OF INCOME, so that wasn't easy. And the answer didn't change (my initial estimate was correct). Nothing was filed. There was no harm. I am well-staffed (full-time paralegal & 2 part-time receptionists/aides) & quite competent (I practice only bankruptcy & file as many as anyone in the entire Western District, from San Antonio to Waco). He's angry because he couldn't bully me into a refund; he indicated initially he might go a different route but wanted means test numbers.

Susan G. Taylor, Esq. is the epitome of an awesome bankruptcy Attorney

I contacted Susan so I can try to rebuild the financial aspect of my life after an accident that broke my neck and resulted in job loss. I recovered well physically but I became financially distressed. I relocated to Austin for an employment opportunity. I continued to be harassed by creditors thre...atening all sorts of things. Susan was instrumental in clarifying what legal rights I have and dispelled the threats from creditors. I decided to hire her to file a Chapter 7 but time was of the essence and I didn't have all of the funds necessary to file. Susan went above and beyond her scope of responsibility and filed my case on my deadline of New Year's Eve in the nick of time (11:57 PM) with my promise to pay my balance the following week which I did in full. Susan and her dedicated, professional, and efficient staff were able to successfully get everything done right and on schedule! I appreciated the effective and necessary communication I received from her staff asking for information and providing me with court appointment reminders, etc. Honestly, I have never known or have heard of an attorney going so far to help a client in need to spend New Year's Eve away from all of the hoopla to file a case. She has not only put me on the right financial path but continues to provide me with wise counsel to get me back in control of my finances. Due to her genuine concern, impeccable attention to detail, expert knowledge of the bankruptcy laws, professionalism, and kind understanding heart; I am in a very good place today. I was even able to keep my BMW! I've read the reviews regarding Susan and her staff and decided to write my own. I cannot DISAGREE more with Mr. Thomas for writing such a vindictive-sounding review. He reminds me of the type of individual who would purchase an expensive suit to wear to a party; ruin it; and return it for a refund because he really did not like the color after all.
