I was a client

I was a client of his firm's. He changed out my lawyers frequently and when I fired the firm he refused to hand over my title until he was paid. I had already spent close to $10,000 and only have temp orders to show for it.

I actually don't know Austin and haven't ever worked with him. He worked with the family law practice group at my firm and the attorney that did most of the work on his file took a job with another firm, where Austin re-hired him to do additional work. We asked for his outstanding balance to be paid before he took the file and he began posting negative reviews on every site he could find in an attempt to hurt our business. Unfortunately, the good deed of extending credit to someone didn't go unpunished in this instance.

My experience working with Douglas J Shumway

Working with Douglas was a pleasure. Doug took the time to explain what each clause in the agreement was and did about 3-4 iterations as the negotiations went on with the other side while the agreement evolved. He also proactively proposed clauses that I was not aware of that made the agreement even ...stronger.

Responsive

Doug replied to me with in a day of making an inquiry. He also felt he wasn't as qualified for IP work as others. I appreciated his honesty.

Professional and talented representation

Douglas and his team are very professional. They provide a high quality of service. I have been very pleased with how well they protect my business. They ask the questions that most usually don't think of and they make sure that all of the bases are covered.

Attorneys with the best intentions

I was recommended to Doug Shumway about 3 years ago and have greatful for that recommendation. Doug has worked with me for my business and personal needs and is the kind of attorney that I trust. That is not always the case with attorneys. I always feel he is looking out for my best interest and not ...just racking up billable hours and I can see that in his work. Thanks Doug
