I was a client of his firm's. He changed out my lawyers frequently and when I fired the firm he refused to hand over my title until he was paid. I had already spent close to $10,000 and only have temp orders to show for it.
I actually don't know Austin and haven't ever worked with him. He worked with the family law practice group at my firm and the attorney that did most of the work on his file took a job with another firm, where Austin re-hired him to do additional work. We asked for his outstanding balance to be paid before he took the file and he began posting negative reviews on every site he could find in an attempt to hurt our business. Unfortunately, the good deed of extending credit to someone didn't go unpunished in this instance.

Douglas and his team are very professional. They provide a high quality of service. I have been very pleased with how well they protect my business. They ask the questions that most usually don't think of and they make sure that all of the bases are covered.

Many Utah individuals and businesses have trusted him to take care of critical transactions, and the growth of his law firm demonstrates that he has done so successfully."
"Mr. Shumway is an exceptional attorney and gives great guidance, whether it be legal or otherwise. Most impressive is, firstly, his ability to think strategically about a case, and secondly, the fact that he (first and foremost) wants each business he represents to succeed. It's these, and the wisdom that comes from experience, that allows him to have the sort of perspective that eludes many a lawyer."
