Kristina B. Otterstrom is an experienced litigator and trusted estate planning attorney licensed in two states - Texas and Utah.
Graduating summa cum laude from Texas A&M University, Ms. Otterstrom was named Top Journalism Student and a member of Phi Beta Kappa in 2005. She subsequently attended Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School where she received the school’s prestigious Scholarly Writing Award. Upon graduating, Ms. Otterstrom practiced law at multi-state law firm in Salt Lake City for a number of years, handling commercial litigation and construction matters from their beginnings through trial, in both state and federal courts.
Ms. Otterstrom was selected as a Super Lawyers Mountain States Rising Star in both 2014 and 2015. Her article entitled, “Matters of the Heart and Household Surveillance: Hiring a Private Investigator in a Divorce” was published in the Utah Bar Journal’s September 2014 edition. Ms. Otterstrom returned to Texas and subsequently became a member of the Texas State Bar and practiced law at a downtown Houston firm before hanging out her own shingle. The year she opened Otterstrom Law, Ms. Otterstrom was again selected as a Super Lawyers Texas Rising Star in 2019, and again in 2020 and 2021.
With a heart for volunteering, Ms. Otterstrom has written contracts and reports for the foster and orphan care group Love Without Boundaries. She previously served as a Board Member for the largest HOA in Utah, as a Board Member for the Junior League of Salt Lake City, and later a Sustaining Advisor for the Junior League of The Woodlands. As an aside, Ms. Otterstrom is an avid tennis player and has taught tennis to youth at YMCAs and racquet clubs in both Texas and Utah.
Ms. Otterstrom is currently serving as a member of Texas' Early Childhood Intervention Advisory Committee. She was appointed to the commitee by Governor Abbott.
