This is the worst lawyer you can even hire. Even if he is a court appointed attorney! You are better off without a lawyer. He calls his clients a "Dumbass" and works with the DA! He doesn't care about any of his clients and doesn't even show up to court hearings. I am getting on the evidence I need t...o go to state bar!

Please do not get this attorney. If he is your court appointed attorney fire him immediately. I don't want anyone else to fall into the trap that we fell into. He acted like he was going to do a great job for my son who is 17 when he got in trouble and for something that he never should have gotten i...n trouble for. The first time I came to court and met him he was rude and obnoxious to me because I called him on his lies which were plentiful. He told me that he didn't want me anywhere near his office or anywhere near this case and even had the nerve to call me the b word. He went before the judge and lied and told the judge that my son told him that he smoked weed the day of sentencing on a pre sentencing investigation that the lawyer called him in to taking to begin with after I told him not to. Well he gets before the judge and lies on his own client and tells the judge that my son smoked weed when he absolutely did not he went two years on Bond and never failed a test but thanks to Montez and his lies he ended up with 7 years deferred probation 3 months in the county and 6 months residential treatment facility. Keep in mind this kid was 17 and it was his very first offense he had never had or been in any trouble before. This was a state jail felony when it was charged and was only enhanced after Mr Montez mentioned enhancement in court first in front of the DA. He WORKS FOR THE OTHER SIDE I'M TELLING YOU DO NOT LET THIS GUY BE YOUR ATTORNEY HE SHOULD HAVE HIS LAW LICENSE TAKEN AWAY FOR FACILITATING LIES AGAINST HIS OWN CLIENTS IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE ON THE DAY OF SENTENCING. I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL INCOMPETENT BEHAVIOR FROM A LAWYER IN MY LIFE! HE HAS SINGLE-HANDEDLY CAUSED ME TO LOSE FAITH IN THE SYSTEM. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE!!!?
