- NOT GUILTY -- Attorney Cory Roth secured an acquittal in an Assault Family Violence case in Harris County where 4 witnesses, including 2 police officers claimed they saw Attorney Roth's client beating his girlfriend in the middle of the road. Attorney Roth was able to attack the credibility of each witness; get one of the cops to admit he did not see any hands actually land on the complaining witness; and, convince the jury that the blood was in fact his client's. The jury returned a not guilty verdict after only 17 minutes of deliberation.
- NOT GUILTY -- Attorney Cory Roth secured an acquittal in an Assault Family Violence case in Harris County where his Client's tenant, who claimed to be a family member, told the police that her landlord assaulted her. The jury returned a verdict finding the defendant not guilty after about 10 minutes of deliberation even though Attorney Roth's client admitted to kicking his tenant in the chest.
- NOT GUILTY -- Attorney Cory Roth secured an acquittal and dismissal in a Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Dangerous Drugs case in Brazoria County. Attorney Roth's client was pulled over in a company truck for having a license plate light that was not working. The police found an ounce of marijuana in a backpack near the client and prescritpion pills in the center console. The jury returned a verdict finding Attorney Roth's client not guilty in 45 minutes. The jury noted that while the weed was probably the client's, the prosecutor didn't satisfy her burden of proof by linking him to the drugs.
- NOT GUILTY -- Attorney Cory Roth secured an acquittal in felony Solicitation of a Minor trial in Montgomery County. The prosecutor claimed that Attorney Roth's client pulled to the side of the road to offer a ride to a girl walking alone at night and asked her for oral sex because getting out of his truck and chasing her down. Attorney Roth was able to expose the incomplete investigation and show the jury that the complainant may have been justifiably spooked, but that she had plenty of reasons to lie in order to get her father's love and attention.
- NOT GUILTY -- Attorney Cory Roth helped another attorney secure a not guilty verdict in an Indecent Exposure case in Harris County where the prosecution alleged that the defendant masterbated in the Whataburger drive thru. Attorney Roth's theory that the defedant's penis was too big to be put back in his pants as quickly as it had to have happened helped the jury acquit the defendant.
- NOT GUILTY -- Attorney Cory Roth was able to convince a jury to find his client not guilty of public intoxication and convince the proseuctor to dismiss the failure to identify charge. The police were called out to a Sugarland Whataburger (where they were eating) in reponse to a call about a man urinating in public on a freezing night. Attorney Roth demonstrated to the jury that the police did not perform an tests that would allow them to conclude his client was intoxicated.
