Mark Christopher Lane

I hired Mark last year to help me with a custody modification. I was now caring for our child the majority of the time, and was fully responsible for driving to and from visitation ( an hour drive each way). things needed to change, and Mark took care of all of it. Im not saying it wasnt a long and t...edious process, because it was. But Mark and his staff always kept me informed of updates, and everything ended up working out in my favor. I would recommend him to anyone needing an attorney.

I hired Mark Lane for my divorce and had a very hard time getting answers from anyone about my case. They will definitely have no issues charging you monthly on your credit card. But when you ask for a statement of your charges good luck getting one. When you finally get one you will quickly learn th...ey will charge you outrageous amounts for emails, phone calls, and for them to even leave a voicemail saying they are finally calling you back. They will even charge you for a phone call asking for a statement. I went to a hearing an did not even know what my lawyer looked like because I never got to talk with him or see him in his office. I had to get someone in the court room to point out who Mark Lane was. My first impression of him was not very good. He seemed very non-interested in even talking to me. He was very arrogant and appeared to not even know what was going on with my case. Well to make a long story short I'm still not divorced and the lawyer filed a non-suit. I feel like I have been raked over the coals by this attorney and the bad part is I'm left paying a huge bill with no results. It's in your best interest to not hire this attorney!

I hired this guy after a Google search to process a simple uncontested divorce. He never answered his phone. I couldn't even get his paralegal to call me back. He delayed processing the paperwork for a couple months. During that period my wife decided she no longer wanted an uncontested divorce. He... asked for another $2000 up front to continue handling my case at $400/hr. I questioned him about the lack of responsiveness and you wouldn't believe the reaction I got. He started curing at me! Dropped the F-bomb. Said he didn't want to listen to my b!tching. When I asked him to stop cursing he told me to get out of his office and that he would be billing me. For what I don't know! One minute he's talking about how hurtful this divorce must be the next he's cursing me out so loud it scared the people in the lobby. I stood there and asked why things escalated so quickly. He then threatening to call the police if I didn't leave immediately. It was all very bizarre. As I mentioned I had trouble getting my calls returned, s before this incident but AFTER hiring him I went to look up some reviews. I found a couple that described identical circumstances where he started yelling and cursing. Really bizarre and unprofessional. I wonder if he didn't delay the paperwork just so my wife might change this to a contested divorce and he could rack up fees. This is truly a nasty little man. Do yourself a favor. If you read this before hiring him don't. If you've already hired him consider cutting your losses.

I highly doubt about the legitimacy of all these five star reviews for Attorney Mark Lane. I was skeptical about his office due to some bad reviews but I hired him. The moment I hired all turn out to be true. Nothing was done about my case in two months, no response and charged me thousands of dolla...r. I receive one email from Mark during whole period. I had asked billing statements they did not provide me. I flew out of state to his office and requested appointment earlier, nobody was able to meet , they all were busy with the emergency cases. I am sure someone from Mark Lane will reply to this post that I was not happy with result or I am angry person. Guess what there were no result, no progress. Please leave your name, I can share more details as well. I would highly recommend to not hire Mark lane office. Hire someone who is approachable and professional in conduct.
