Bizarre angry man

I hired this guy after a Google search to process a simple uncontested divorce. He never answered his phone. I couldn't even get his paralegal to call me back. He delayed processing the paperwork for a couple months. During that period my wife decided she no longer wanted an uncontested divorce. He... asked for another $2000 up front to continue handling my case at $400/hr. I questioned him about the lack of responsiveness and you wouldn't believe the reaction I got. He started curing at me! Dropped the F-bomb. Said he didn't want to listen to my b!tching. When I asked him to stop cursing he told me to get out of his office and that he would be billing me. For what I don't know! One minute he's talking about how hurtful this divorce must be the next he's cursing me out so loud it scared the people in the lobby. I stood there and asked why things escalated so quickly. He then threatening to call the police if I didn't leave immediately. It was all very bizarre. As I mentioned I had trouble getting my calls returned, s before this incident but AFTER hiring him I went to look up some reviews. I found a couple that described identical circumstances where he started yelling and cursing. Really bizarre and unprofessional. I wonder if he didn't delay the paperwork just so my wife might change this to a contested divorce and he could rack up fees. This is truly a nasty little man. Do yourself a favor. If you read this before hiring him don't. If you've already hired him consider cutting your losses.

Not worth the time

I had hired Mr. Lane to handle my uncontested divorce. Paid him $2500.00 for the retainer. We went to court one time for temporary orders. Then my soon to be ex was deployed overseas. His paralegal said they still can finished it. Nothing was done. A year later I was still trying to get divorce. T...hey told me they needed another $500.00. I paid it. Three months later and a lot of canceled appointments on his side. I finally cut my loses and went with a different attorney.
