I received numerous letters from attorneys, offering their assistance, but was most impressed with Ms. Ohan because of her track record and strategic approach to winnin...g. When I went to my first appointment with her, she had experienced a significant personal loss and was unavailable to see me. Her assistant, Beatrice took care of me in such a professional manner that I hired and paid Ms. Ohan without ever meeting her. My belief was that if her assistant was THIS good, she HAD to be the best. She called the next week, and immediately began to aggressively take care of my case. I explained to her that I wanted to have it resolved as quickly as possible because of the profession that I am in – and that this could seriously hinder my career. She attended all of my court dates and always personally called immediately afterwards to give me an update. Out of four court dates, I never had to go to one of them; and my case was dismissed. I highly recommend Ms. Ohan for your legal problems. This was the very first time I was ever in trouble of any kind and the very first time I needed the help of a lawyer! It was important to me to get the best legal help I could afford in order to prevent ruining a stellar reputation and 25 year career. I often called her assistant Beatrice whenever I was having a panic attack regarding my case and she always answered my questions with courtesy, patience, and professionalism! God forbid I ever get in trouble again, but if I do, I will certainly call Nancy Ohan again. She is a true professional and a woman of her word.

I was arrested for a class 3 felony in June. In light of a similar offense many years ago; I was in a serious situation. Because of Nancy, the case was "no-billed" at the grand jury level in November. Point blank, hire her, do not delay. Her rates are more than fair. If I'm ever in trouble aga...in I'd not only hire her without hesitation, but I'd also recommend her to family and friends. Details. I kept her mailer along with 4 or 5 others and began the background and review process. She comes from a solid school and has no disciplinary actions against her. I appreciate that she includes her picture in the mailer; as we all know, appearance matters. While many of her peers send out mailers chock full of info including their case win record; Nancy (not an assistant) responded straightaway and set a meeting. She is matter-of-fact and direct; just the way I like it. I also got the feeling that she was interviewing me as much as I was her. While she doesn't mince words when giving her professional opinion; she's not blowing smoke just to generate fees. I've read a few of the reviews in regards to her confusing her clients with others; this too happened to me. We exchanged several emails about my case for a couple weeks prior to a second meeting. When we began our second meeting to discuss strategy; I sensed that our rapport was off. She didn't lie or pretend, but rather admitted that she had me confused. She apologized, refocused and quickly went about the task at hand. I look at this as positive for a few reasons; first she has a caseload which means she's busy which also means the DA sees her often. It also means that she's honest because I don't think I'd be capable of pinpointing the cause of the awkward start of our meeting had she not informed me. Also, she seems to be far from the type of attorney that would show up for court, disheveled and fumbling through folders not knowing whom she was meeting. She wants her client to prevail or I don't believe she'd take the case. Hire her; you're in good hands. KW

After waiting a couple of weeks I fi...nally picked her letter out of all of the others and I called her. Ms. Ohan attended all of my court dates and I never even went to one of them. Then I get a call from her assistant Beatrice saying the case was dismissed! I highly recommend Ms. Ohan for your legal problems. I Hired MS Nancy over 4 years ago and have had to use her on several issues. I will continue to use her and her very informative and knowledgeable assistant MS B. She has always taken time to listen and to advise the right things that need to be done. Some of the other reviewers write things that mak...e her sound harsh. One thing for certain, two things for sure. MS Nancy tells you how it is and not what you may want to hear. She can see thru the smoke you try to blow and will do her best to help you if you help yourself. She is truly Top Shelf. One of the best in Dallas.

This lawyer never showed up to court-she was always sending her assistant-who was always late. She didn't know anything about my case and when I would ask her for an update-she never had one. She was always telling me about the wrong person's case, and I had to correct her on several occasions. When ...she finally did show up to court-she returned my case and kept my retainment money. I'm sure this isn't her 1st time keeping people's retainment money for a case that she accepted and didn't do anything to help.
