I'd think twice!

I would never hire Nancy Ohan again. It's my opinion that she only cares about herself, her money, and her junk mail outs. On my court day, Nancy showed up late, didn't know who I was, and "lost my tape" or evidence of proof. I was truly innocent but found guilty!

I’m sorry this person is unhappy, but I take issue with the truth of their statement. I work seven days a week on behalf of my clients which is not the schedule of a self-centered person. My fees are low to the extent that other lawyers have gotten mad at me for not charging more. If my focus was money, I would simply charge more. Furthermore, I'm not late to court. I might be in another court room, but I am at the courthouse. I hate waiting on people, and I hate people waiting on me which is why I try to move through my docket efficiently. But yes, sometimes clients wait--it cannot be helped. Lose evidence? Never. Enough said.

Life changed and beyond thankful - Case Dismissed

Words cannot begin to explain how thankful and pleased I am with Nancy and for all the hard work she put into getting my case dismissed. She truly was heaven sent! Never in million years could I have imagined that my DWI 2 case would run so smoothly and ultimately be thrown out. Nancy not only kno...ws the law, she’s passionate about it and truly cares for her client’s wellbeing. I recall my first meeting with her, she diligently listened and took note of everything I had to say without judging me. Because this was my second DWI, my first being nearly a decade ago, I felt so ashamed of the situation I had once again found myself in. Nancy genuinely expressed concern for me as a person. She went as far as asking me if I needed assistance in locating an AA or support group. She then made a pact with me, that she would do everything in her power to help me but that I also had to show her that I was willing to learn from this and make a change in my life. Upon retaining her she quickly began to gather details from the DA’s office and gave me constant updates which really went a long way in calming my nerves (I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown). When she received the video from DPD she called me in and we watched it together. Without going into detail, she almost immediately concluded that the officer had no justified reason for pulling me over. She suggested that we file a “Motion to Suppress” based on facts shown in the officer's car/body cam footage. This was in late August 2018. The months began to roll by and Nancy attended my court dates and would email or call me with updates almost immediately afterward (understandably sometimes a day later). At one point the interlock device in my vehicle failed due to battery issues and upon informing her of the potential problem it could cause with my pre-trail officer, Nancy was ready to spring into action. Fortunately, it wasn’t necessary, but once again knowing I had someone in my corner went a very long way. Finally, in January, Nancy informed me that she had met with the DA’s office and that they did not agree that the stop was unjustified. She again reassured me that she had a strong argument based on the facts seen in the video and would proceed with filing with motion. February - D-DAY Nancy was nothing less than incredible. She was confident, knowledgeable, and firm with her argument and although the arresting officer was present as a state witness, Nancy was completely unshaken (TOTAL BEAST MODE). After about 45 minutes the judge said the sweetest sounding two words I’ve ever heard “Motion sustained”. My case was pretty much dismissed. In the hallway, Nancy once again reminded me that this was a “Gift” and that she didn’t to ever see me in that situation again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Nancy. May God Bless you always. Ps: I am now going on almost 7 months sober, thanks be to God, my family, friends, and Nancy’s push.

Nancy Ohan is one of the best lawyers in Dallas!

Nancy handled my case with such professionalism, expertise and efficiency that quite frankly, blew me away. She explained the entire process at my first meeting, told me exactly what she would do and then executed the many tasks timely and with results! She got my case settled out of court with muc...h less time and money than I expected. She then expedited my expungement ahead of schedule, all the while keeping me informed and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Her and the staff's kindness towards me, yet dedication to my case during this process made a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend Nancy! In fact, she also helped a friend of mine with equally impressive results with my referral.

I could not have had a better experience.... in spite of bad circumstances

I was pulled over for suspicion of DUI in the Fall of 2010. Essentially, I had left a nightclub in the area, and was in a fast food parking lot chatting with my friend in my car, and turned off my lights, (with the engine running), while we talked. I pulled out to leave and forgot to turn my lights ...back on. A DPD officer was blocking my side of the street so I approached the officer to ask if I could drive around his car; at which point he made the comment that I was "extremely intoxicated" and told me to pull over and park. I complied with a sobriety test and passed with no issue. Then he did the Nystagmus Gaze (light in the eyes) test; and he said that I failed that portion. I requested a breath test and he refused. He placed me in handcuffs, had my car towed, and took me to jail. I spent majority of Thanksgiving Day in Dallas jail before being able to be bailed out. When I contacted Ms. Ohan, I knew that my story, (I wasn't intoxicated), seemed far-fetched, however she gave me the benefit of the doubt. Once she saw the video of me in holding that she requested from the jail; walking around to specific markers in stilettos, (with no issue/hesitation), speaking to the officer and answering questions as per normal, she suggested that we go to trial; and I agreed. *Note-- the officer conducted the sobriety test out of the view of his squad car; so there was no video of me on the scene. My case continued to be postponed and dragged out for two years; no fault of Ms. Ohan whatsoever. She continued to keep me updated on everything that was going on and always took the time to answer any questions that I had. Right before we were to go to court, the prosecutor advised Ms. Ohan that they would be requesting a postponement. The day at court, the prosecutor requested said postponement and the judge refused. Ms. Ohan received a call from the court to show up within an hour and she immediately left her office to represent me. I was coincidentally at home from work that day, and received a call from Ms. Ohan saying that my case had been dismissed. I cried tears of joy. After 2 years, legal fees, a suspended license, loss of my company car, and a measurable amount of humiliation; I FINALLY was vindicated to my family and friends. I am so incredibly appreciative of her faith in me and her hard work to clear my name, and I would absolutely recommend her to ANYONE in a similar situation.
