Recently, wrongfully accused of driving while intoxicated and decided to fight this in court via trial by judge. In and out of court waiting for my trial date and had maybe 2 full visits with Tony. To say he was prepared to represent me would be an extreme understatement. Based on the amount I paid him to represent me I was expecting much more. He completely deviated from what we were trying to prove (that I was not driving) and instead tried to prove I wasn't drinking.

In August 2014, my world was turned upside down. Instead of referring others to a criminal defense lawyer, I found myself in need of one. I had never needed a criminal defense lawyer, and when faced with a life changing arrest, it was my turn. I’ve known Tony all of my life and knew I could place my life in his hands, which is exactly what I did. While some may experience Tony as unconventional, his unique style and skill set him far apart from other lawyers. I was confident in Tony’s intricate understanding of the law, but what I, thankfully, had never experienced was his creative, dedicated and empathetic approach to gaining as much knowledge and perspective of the facts as possible so as to tell my story. I believe his extensive training in psychodrama afforded him the ability to help me gain a deeper understanding and perspective of this horrible process. He skillfully, without shame, helped me stay focused and grounded while my future laid in the hands of strangers who knew nothing about me. Being a lawyer myself, I can assure you that Tony goes above and beyond what our oath requires of us. Tony didn’t collect a fee, sit back and simply wait until a plea was offered. He put everything he had as early as he could-the grand jury phase of this process. Keep in mind that the criminal defense lawyer is not allowed to appear before the grand jury. The only thing he could do was give me a voice and convey my truth in the form of a written grand jury packet. My nightmare ended when the grand jury rendered a no bill. Vulnerability is likely the most uncomfortable feeling for a human being. Tony was safe, professional, creative, dedicated, available and honest throughout a traumatic chapter in my life. While this experience afforded me the opportunity to do some long overdue work, which has led to life changing growth for which I am grateful, getting through this would have been impossible without Tony.

I heard about Tony Vitz from a very close friend of mine. He was easy to reach, always called back if he couldn't get to the phone, and always kept me updated about what was happening with my case. Not to mention he always knows how to calm your nerves before entering the court room. Tony does his job extremely well and is an exceptional man to work with. He got me out of trouble when I needed it most and for a very fair price!

This attorney does his job and then some. He does the right thing. He actually cares. He eased my fear every time I came into contact with him. He's genuine and had my back the whole time. He is real, and he got me out of trouble. He got me the best case scenario I could have. He's the best!! If you want real and someone that is honest and has your back and will truly defend you, this is your guy!!! Love you Tony!

There is always a great deal of fear and doubt when hiring an attorney for any reason. You do not know what your going to get. When you are putting your family, financial, or business future in the hands of someone else, it is quite daunting choosing the right representation.
Tony Vitz and his staff are absolutely unbelievable at working for their clients. They are not a "let's see how we can run up the billing" firm, but instead a let us help you with your situation. Being a client, I can tell you that communication from your attorney is extremely important in keeping everything else in your life in check. Phone, email, or txt, Tony Vitz and his staff will follow up with you usually within hours, and work around your schedule (ie They are there for you when you have a question, or have additional information.)
There is a reason Tony Vitz travels around the country presenting/speaking to other attorneys. He is simply that good, and the results for his clients prove it.

Attorney Vitz was my court appointed attorney back in 2008. He was very knowledgeable and helped me and my family get a fair sentence for what my charge was then. In June 2014 my husband unfortunately got into some legal trouble and I recommended that he call Vitz for advice. Not only did he take personal time of his own to talk to us about the case, he treated us with respect and made us feel very comfortable while working together. I can honestly say I love vitz as an attorney and as an individual. He truly cares about his clients, and doesn't take cases based on money. He is a good man all around, and works hard to help you in any circumstance. I will always recommend Vitz to any one who is in need of a great lawyer.

My sister referred Mr. Vitz after he had defended my nephew a few years back. She explained to me what a knowledgeable attorney he was as well as a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. Well, she was right and he exceeded my expectations. Not only did he clear my nephew's name but mine as well. I can only hope that I will not need any sort of help in a court of law again, but if that were to happen he would be the first person I called.

I would recommend Tony for any legal problem that one might ever encounter. Honest, trustworthy, and listens to your concerns. I was referred to him by a friend and hired him a little while back. So glad I listened to that friend. In matters as important as law/legal issues, I think everyone should do a little research before making such an important decision. After the referral, I researched Tony and liked what I found, even more so after meeting him. I am so glad that I hired him and will do it again if the need arises. Thanks Tony!

Tony was refereed to me by another attorney. When we met I wasn't sure, but I could see he was busy. As we worked more together on my case I started to understand how he works and why he was busy. He genuinely cares about his clients. each case he takes a personal interest in and fights for you. He went above and beyond to help me and for that and other reasons, I now consider him a Friend. He is a great attorney (and person) helping those in need. My case was not easy, but he was fair (finically) with me and never gave me false hope, but did believe we could and should fight my charges. Even when a deal we sent to us, we talked about it, he did not pressure me at all and we together made the decision to go to the jury. I knew I was innocent and he believed in me to fight hard.

Tony was very professional. This involved a DWI. He took into account that diabetes could affect the BAC. Knowing that this could go either way he recommended an expert to testify and that was a good idea. He was well prepared for trial. I felt very comfortable with his handling of the prosecutors' witnesses. I also appreciate his advice to go before the judge instead of a jury trial. I think that was a good decision. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a lawyer in the McKinney area.
