David has been a trial lawyer for more than 40 years. He's a former English teacher who was selected in 2007 to be a student at Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer College. He had applied many times before because Gerry Spence had been his idol and mentor since becoming a lawyer. He's board certified in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He was honored in 2009 by being selected for membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He also qualified for membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a group of lawyers who have achieved verdicts or settlements over 1 million dollars. During his career he has obtained over $60,000,000 in personal injury settlements and verdicts.  He was selected for membership in the Texas Bar Foundation and is a Life Fellow. David's maternal grandfather's heart's desire was to be a lawyer. He had trunks and trunks of law books he had read and marked up with his notes. He passed away 3 years before David was born but became a mentor to David through his mother and his East Texas relatives who knew and loved his grandfather. David is active in his church, Stonebriar Community Church, and has been a facilitator in the Divorce Care program since it started in 2000. His hobbies are golf, snow skiing, public speaking, and reading. He has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. His wife, Karen, is a CPA/flight attendant for American Airlines.

"I met David Vereeke at Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College and am endorsing him without hesitation as a great attorney. I don't say that because of his staggering record of achieved victories in his three decade plus litigation career. I say that because his main focus is people. His clients. The people he fights for every day. You don't get to be as good as Mr. Vereeke if you aren't paying attention to the people who matter. Whether its his clients, the jury or the opposition, David Vereeke is always three steps ahead because he listens. I can give no higher recommendation than David when it comes to litigation in Texas. He wins because he cares."

"David is a good Soul and a wonderful Advocate. We first met in Wyoming at an advanced training seminar and have remained fast friends since. I have een him do some simply amazing things with tough cases, and I know that he invests time, emotion and thought into each one of his files. There are few men who have the depth of connection with Jurors than David, and his clients are lucky to have such a forceful defender of their interests in their corner."
