I had a unique case as I live out of state and was arrested for DUI while visiting Kansas City. I also had a prior arrest about 6 years before this incident, I was looking at a possible 2nd offense. I contacted Jay via phone and he was very upfront and honest with me about the possible outcomes of this situation, which is what I was looking for- honesty. Jay went to every single court appearance for me, I never once had to return to the state of Kansas for anything. I really didn't even deal with anything having to do with this case. Every time I would need to get in contact with him, he was right there with a phone call or email back. I would highly recommend Jay to anyone seeking DUI defense. The end result of my case was my DUI was deferred all thanks to his time and hard work. I could not be more pleased with the outcome.

I was arrested for driving under the influence in Kansas of 2014. My world was turned upside down until I walked into Jay's office. His relaxed yet confident and intelligent demeanor solidified my choosing of him as my attorney. From day 1, Jay kept me constantly informed. I pride myself on punctuality and so does Mr. Norton. He was responsive and always kept me up to speed on my case. To make a long story short, Jay got my case completely dismissed and I just had to pay a few fines. Never once did I have to set foot in court. You certainly get what you pay for. You may be able to find a cheaper attorney, but in my opinion they will not work as efficiently as he did. Pay the extra money for a quality attorney like Jay Norton. Now my life can continue and I can move forwarded positively with a clean record and a smile on my face.

I contacted Jay after I found out the law in Kansas had changed to " life time look back for Dui" and now I was facing a felony instead of a misdemeanor. Jay was very professional and made me feel confident that I was with good council. Throughout the lengthy 2+ year process Mr. Norton always returned calls or emails immediately and I was informed of every detail... I had a trial which Jay defended my case very well but had a couple jurors that influenced the rest of the jury toward a guilty verdict. If I didn't have Jay representing me I may have given up but Jay gave me the confidence that we could win the appeal of the felony verdict. We appealed the decision and took the appeal all the way to the Supreme court the process was very slow but Jay always kept me informed of exactly what the status was... In the end through Mr. Norton's excellent representation and defense we won the appeal and reversed the charge and I am no longer a FELON due to Jays excellence in representing me and my case. I couldn't be more satisfied with the representation I had with the Norton Hare Law firm and specifically Joseph Norton III. Thank you Jay!

Jay Norton is the best attorney a person can hope for. He is very hard working and works around the clock for his clients. Rest assured, if there is a way, he will find it. He pays close attention to detail and thinks outside of the box.
To say he was a Godsend for me, would be nothing short of the truth. Compassion, hard work, dedication, knowledgeable are just a few of the attributes he holds. He was truly a blessing and saved my future and career from being destroyed. He helped give me the second the chance I desperately needed.
If a family member or a friend of mine ever needed a lawyer who would fight for them as his own and win against all odds, I would refer them to Jay and no one else.

Jay was an incredible lawyer. I think the longest I waited for an e-mail response was maybe 1 hour. Sometimes it was only minutes. He was very helpful, and knowledgeable during a very difficult process. He answered all my silly questions without me feeling stupid, and he got me off in my admin hearing! Use him for your DUI case and you won't be disappointed.

After having another lawyer prior to jay, I'm so happy I found jays number. My prior lawyer told me to take the deal which was, no deal at all it was what would happen if I got charged with the dui. My old lawyer told me I had no case and going to trial was a waist of time. I told him if I get charged I lose my job. He said I didn't have a choice. I spoke to jay the next week and set an apt. I told him my situation, and he ask me what I had to lose by going to trial. Nothing. .... So fired the first lawyer hired jay, who fought for me and we won. Im able to keep my job and have a clean driving record. I wish I had just found jays number In the first place.

Jay Norton was fantastic. He was always available to talk and was easy to talk to when we did. I never had to show up to most hearings, just the one. The case turned out great for me and I was always confident in Jay's integrity, knowledge and hard work for me. Can't recommend him enough.

Jay made my entire experience, as trying and frustrating as it was, as easy as I could have ever anticipated.
He made me feel like a person rather than someone who made a mistake and needed to pay over and over again for it.

I called Jay with a case (later became 'cases') that soon became a tangled mess due to multiple charges, the City's involvement which was then turned over to the County...etc., and strung out for over 5 years. Jay showed up to EVERY single one of my court dates and only expected me to show up when it was absolutely necessary. During the multiple trials, he was extremely knowledgable of the laws and cited cases - which had been won, to use in our favor. He was always up to date on the latest laws , which helped us immensly in multiple trials. I always could expect to receive a letter from Jay's office after every court appearance explaining what had occured and if it had been continued, etc., and when the next court date was set for. I was never lacking knowledge of what was going on at anytime. Jay was always responsive to phone calls, texts and email even though I knew there were times that he probably wanted me to relax and just let him do his job. Though he was a very busy and sought after attorney, I never felt like my case was less than first on his list of priorities. Jay also responded to questions that I had regarding other issues not even related to my case and even received referrals from him for family members. Jay is an excellet attorney and even though my very difficult case was WON!!! and is finally over, he still remains on my speed dial.
