Very knowledgeable about his field of law, but after 5 years I was put out of my chapter 13 trustee stated that my plan was not feasible, so i was put out at the last month of the plan. And now the IRS has contacted me demanding $10,000. Now what i have learned is that my lawyer knew that all of this... was going to take place, not to mention my lawyers Secretary would speak to me like i had a Crack Pipe in my pocket. So in closing yes WR is very knowledgeable but Do not expect a successful ending I hope i was not to harsh, but i was honest

I first met with Mr. Ridings because my debt was out of control and I needed advice. He was calm and upbeat, willing to help, and very encouraging. He advised that the only real alternative would be to file bankruptcy. I paid the money and proceeded with the bankruptcy case. Mr. Ridings was acce...ssible up until that point. Once the case was in the system, things went south. Mr. Ridings has disappeared, and the only contact the client has is with a really rude and short-tempered paralegal named Kristy, who calls one day before a court appearance (and for some reason, there are many of these) to demand paperwork that was already filed with the original case. (Why they can't keep records is beyond me -- it does no good to use signature confirmation or electronic return receipt because Kristy has to have new paperwork every time she asks for it or your case will be dismissed.) Every time I see Kristy on my caller ID, I know it's going to be bad news and I'm going to have to scramble because there will be a court date either today or tomorrow. The latest thing is that there is a new trustee who needs copies of all of the paperwork from the original filing, tax returns back to 2013 (I filed in 2015 so I don't know why these are needed), and oh, by the way, your payments are behind and you need to get caught up. I could send all of this directly to the trustee, but Kristy says that's not allowed and the case will be dismissed. If a case is dismissed, all payments to the trustee are forfeited and you start over with the original debt. Not an option. I should have gotten a second and third opinion, because I have three more years of these payments, and worse yet, three more years of random frantic calls from Kristy -- always accusatory, and always demanding something or the case will be dismissed. Hopefully I can make it another three years. Do not hire this man. He is invisible once he gets paid, and his paralegal has a big huge chip on her shoulder -- probably because she is incompetent.

I was SOLICITED BY WILL RIDINGS when my property was advertised for auction in St. Louis County. I hired him because I believed all those lies he made in his solicitation letter that he would see my case through to the end. I won my lawsuit against Chase Manhattan Bank and paid Ridings over $3000 ...in legal fees. Chase Manhattan admitted that they erred, however they stated in court that Ridings brought my case to the wrong court. Foreclosure is a state issue, however because Ridings had re-opened my Bankruptcy case, Bankruptcy Judge(Schermer) heard my case and he did not award me anything other than reimbursement for my legal fees. He had Chase's attorney prepare the Order of Judgment. Immediately, after the "unneccessary" trial, Ridings told me and my brother that he did not know what was wrong with that judge, however we could file an appeal. Two weeks later, I asked about the appeal and he said I only had ten days to file and that time had already passed!!!!!!!!!! He told me that Chase should be sending me an Order of Judgment and I was to follow that. He would not do anything to help me and left me in the hands of Chase. I tried to get others to file and appeal and they all said he had a duty to complete my case. Chase Manhattan proceeded to bill me for all types of fees that were not part of the Judges Order. (I did not understand a lot of the jurisdictional issues this judge and Ridings had caused me at the time). When I wrote South and Associates who represented Chase and asked for explanation of the fees, they called my whole loan in???!!! My property was foreclosed on in less than 60 days after that. Ridings was the only one who could have helped me, and he abandoned me!!!! Also, I never received my reimbursement from him or Chase for my attorney fees($3000+)!!!!!!!!! However, he did send me the reimbursement for my court cost. Btw, my property was located in Richmond Heights were I grew up. The property has increased in value because if you are familiar with real estate that has been a "hot" area....also, very suspect!!!!!!! I resigned from a job that I had been on for over 23 years to get the retirement funds to try to hire a new attorney. I took numerous Paralegal courses to try to learn my rights..all of these things did not help when I took Ridings back to court for abandonment in front of Bankruptcy Judge Schermer again. My Statute of Limitations is over even though I definitely have a Wrongful Foreclosure on the books. I have learned that he should have requested a whole new trial in the proper court. My case became so convoluted that one attorney read my transcript and said "you poor girl, this is worst than fiction"!!! I hope that he will think twice when soliciting clients and then abandoning them. I do not know why this happened to me, however God knows. I followed the law and only filed Chapter 13 because I tried to have an event at the St. Louis Convention Ctr. and made some bad business decisions. I pray the Judge and Ridings will follow the ethics that their profession requires in the future!!!

William and his assistant Kristy are absolutely wonderful! I had to convert my chapter 13 to a chapter 7 because of my ongoing divorce and they helped me every step of the way. No one wants to be in this situation, but these people made me feel like I was doing the right thing for me. I really app...reciated all of their help and advice and their quicky responses to all my needs.
