I was impressed right away with John Schleiffarth with how confident he was about being able to help me with my case. I faced up to 57 years in prison. He got all my felony charges dropped. I’ll tell you a little about my story. I went to school in Rolla, MO, at Missouri S&T. I had everything going great for me and I had a misunderstanding with a cop. I was charged with up to 57 years in prison. I am a good person. I had really never been in trouble with the law. But when I was looking for lawyer I interviewed every lawyer in Rolla. There was no one there I believed could can handle my case so I looked online for whoever had great reviews.
I interviewed some but they all pretty much told me the same thing. They told me that I won’t do all 57 years, they told me I would do more like 7 years. I didn’t want to do any time because I didn’t do anything. John called me back when I was on my way to see another lawyer and he gave me so much confidence over the phone. I didn’t want to waste my time going anywhere else. I liked his confidence and that he didn’t care who he had to go against or piss off to make sure that I didn’t do any time. He made time to meet with me that day. I drove two and a half hours to see him. I was so happy that he believed me. I asked him if he had a plan to help me and he explained it. He went to work right away. Most important, he succeeded. I was extremely pleased. I recommend John for any serious criminal problem.

I’m not a lawyer, and Mr. Schleiffarth’s position was to make sure that I understood everything necessary for my case, and to be consistent with everything he tells me.
From my dealings with Mr. Schleiffarth and JCS Law, their business tactics were that of a car dealer. They will make you feel comfortable in your decision to go with them; they will talk about their awards and accolades they’ve received. Their real objective is getting the clients to write checks, as opposed to making sure that their clients have the best representation for their money. He charges clients a ridiculous amount of money when he has only been in practicing for close to 5 years? John Clayton Schleiffarth presented himself as one of the best attorneys in the St. Louis area, and charged me as much as that of a top-tier defense attorney. He’s not considered a “Super Attorney”, but felt deserving of that type of money when he doesn’t even though he doesn't have the experience or connections that others do. I asked about his trial experience, in which he stated to me that he's had so many trials under his belt that he could not give me a specific number? I did some research and found out that his firm is not a firm that actively handles trials.
After my first meeting with him I figured that he had the connections and experience to get me an outcome that I would happy with. After signing with him things started to fall apart. He would show up at my pretrial appointments either hours late, or never at all, and someone from his office would have to run to the court building to fill in for him last minute. He would tell me he would speak to witnesses or subpoena evidence, which never happened. When he made a mistake he would try to avoid answering my calls or emailing me back. He told me one time he would immediately handle something important to my case, which he did not do until 8 months after his initial entering as my attorney.
John's protégé is no better. He will advocate for John regardless of the circumstances, because it's in his interest to do so. Andrew only cares about the interest of John and the firm, regardless of what position it puts the clients in.
John gave me incorrect information numerous times. Whenever John has taken some fault, it was never completely, and he always ended up deflecting the blame onto others as opposed to himself.
I finally had enough of John and JCS LAW, and removed them from my case, and once I got new counsel I was able to receive the deal I wanted within a few months, and what was surprising was that it did not cost as much as what it when John Clayton Schleiffarth was my attorney on file.
Not saying John is a bad person, but I think he’s more career driven, so he takes on as much clients as possible, which ultimately creates a lack of attention to the individual needs of the clients, and can cost them in the end. JCS Law puts a lot of money behind advertisement, because they encourages a high-volume of clients, rather then making sure they take on the right kind of cases? John is at best a $3,500 attorney. One thing I've learned is that if you are looking for an attorney, always talk with multiple lawyers. I suggest talk to attorneys that come highly recommended from multiple individuals, and always know how long they've been practicing in the area you need help with? My new attorney had the experience and connections to get the job done in less than two months; I was with JCS Law for almost two years and was only provided a deal during the end that I had initially told him would not be acceptable for me if they were to be my attorneys.

I used JCS Law to help me resolve a traffic ticket recently. I was very satisfied with their resolution of the matter and I mailed my fine payment to the proper court. Or so I thought. Apparently my payment had been lost in the mail and the court was mailing notices to the wrong address, while I was unaware that the issue wasn't resolved. Five months after I had initially consulted with him, Kevin Webb from JCS Law called my cell phone personally and let me know that the court hadn't received my payment. I called the court, paid my fine, and everything was resolved. Kevin's dedication kept this very minor traffic case from becoming a serious matter with significant negative impact on me. This case was the second time my wife and I have utilized the services of Kevin, John, and JCS Law. We will continue to use them for absolutely any issues that we have in the future, and I HIGHLY recommend them!!

I did a lot of research and calling before choosing John and I am so grateful for choosing him as my DWI attorney. From the first 30 seconds of talking to him, I knew he was the right choice to help me. I recommend him to everyone :-)

If I had to work with an attorney again, I would choose John & his team. I really appreciated his knowledgeable, yet very easy to talk to approach in discussing and defending my case. John's team includes former law enforcement agents, which was a great reference point in best understanding processes and where my case stood in accordance with current local law.
I appreciated that John was very focused on my specific case when we met. He clearly communicated with his actions that he was genuinely interested in representing my case to the best of his ability and to the best possible outcome for me. I was not just another number. I'd visited a few other attorneys prior to selecting John. They were very arrogant, boastful, and self-focused....I was just another opportunity to show the world how "great they are". John's approach was authentic. His professionalism and knowledge superceded the other attorneys I'd spoken with.
My experience with John Schleiffarth was worthy of the highest recommendation. I feel very comfortable providing reference for John & his team.

This guy helped me tremendously. He got my poss of marijuana dropped to a littering ticket and is very very cheap and a great guy to talk to. He called me and let me know what was going on with my case and kept me updated. He was very nice, polite and straight to the point. I had no trouble getting a hold of him, was very reliable and quick responding. I got a great deal and kept this drug charge off my record all thanks to this man. I highly highly highly recommend using John. A+++ status. The best around in my opinion. Give him a try I promise u won't be dissapointed.
