Peggy was amazing throughout the entire time she was my lawyer. I switched to her after researching and seeing all the positive reviews and after my previous lawyer would take days to weeks to even respond. Peggy always responded promptly and same day. Peggy has handled my cousins divorce, who had nothing but praise for her and the fact that he got shared custody of kids, return life back to semi normal was priceless. Unfortunately my own divorce happened earlier, with a different lawyer. And while it got concluded, I did not feel like I have som...eone on my side in a costly case. Few years later 2 of my 3 kids reached 18 and I hired Peggy for a child support adjustment (as college expenses now became my primary concern). What a difference from day one. Peggy took care of the court, efficiently ran the case, with no drama getting the issue resolved better than I ever hoped. I have a rather normal child custody case that was transferred from a simpler IL county to Cook County, and immediately their system took over and relegated me and my children. The Cook County court system is an appalling place to be if you are required to need them for any judicial assistance for ch...ildren. What I formerly was able to do myself to request assistance from a court became impossible there. I found Peggy Raddatz on this site, and she immediately took control of my case and most importantly fought for my children. She managed to get my case finally moving forward, managed my expectations and behavior (if she did what I wanted to do then it would have been much worse), and had a thorough strategy that accomplished what we needed. She’s calm, can organize a large caseload, never forgot me, my children, or my case, and could discuss any of it at a moment’s notice at anytime over the past 18 months. She knew more about my case than I did, and she works extremely well with GALs and court staff. Ultimately, I was choosing an attorney with no help other than from this site, and my family is grateful for all of the assistance she has provided.

Hired Peggy for a parental allocation change. Peggy worked with my ex to advance my request to be with my children during COVID. Peggy exhibited great negotiation in order to get me more time. She asks relevant questions and walks through scenarios with you so that you can understand the law. Peggy d...oesn’t have a team or at least I only worked with her directly. I would have liked to be more structured on meeting times and know her availability as it was hit or miss, Although, I will say, eventually she found time to connect. I got the impression she is working all the time, but I am grateful she did not extort me on billing like other attorneys have. Peggy will get it done and ask to be compensated accordingly, you will not feel like you are paying for every minute or having to meet just to meet.
