Michael B. Kelly

Mike was a fantastic defense attorney. He was always prepared for court and knew everything about my case. He was enthusiastic and very personable. There were times when I was very worried and anxious about the outcome of my case, but he easily put it to rest by fully explaining everything to me and ...counseling me on everything. During court days, he was very eloquent and explained my situation to the judge in much detail; my sentencing was probably more lenient because of his help. I would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for an excellent defense attorney and/or lawyer!

I originally hired Jonathan to help me with my OWI (Operating While Intoxicated) case, but on the day of my court date he had an emergency felony case somewhere else so he handed me off to Michael Kelly. I waited in the lobby on the day of my court date for Michael Kelly who arrived early enough to ...come talk to me, he came right up to me, shook my hand, and took down some notes about me. We went into the court room and he got in touch with the prosecutor and everything and was very proactive and confident. Michael immediately got my license to only being restricted instead of suspended when he talked to the prosecutor before we went up to the judge. I was thoroughly impressed with how quick he took care of that. When it was time to go up to the judge, Michael made a GREAT statement about me to the judge talking about the AA meetings, community service, MADD meeting, and the substance abuse assesment, which impressed him enough where I got the lower charge of Driving While Visibly Impaired with a restricted license and NO PROBATION AT ALL!!! Michael and I walked out of the court room in shock from being able to get no probation for me and we were both extremely happy! Michael is amazing and what he does, extremely knowledgable, confident, and very personable. Michael made this court date go from a nightmare to a dream. I HIGHLY recommend Michael to anyone and everyone. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE PROGRAM THEY RECOMMEND FOR YOU!!! Do the extra work before so you do not have to do it after!

Work place situation became a first time felony charge and nightmare. My attempt to handle the matter with the police was a big mistake. I realized that I was in serious legal trouble and did get charged with a felony. I hired the Kelly law firm and Michael represented me in all my court appearanc...es. He did an excellent job. I was kept informed. I was presented with all my options. Importantly, Michael provided the emotional support to get me through the process. The end result was a minor fine and a misdemeanor charge that I will have expunge.

Let me put any doubts you might have to ease by simply saying this: if you're looking for a criminal lawyer, look no further than Mike Kelly. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Upon our first meeting, after explaining the entire situation to him, Mike spent a lot of time explaining to m...e how the entire process will pan out and how I need to start working on a pro-active plan he had in mind for me. He listened keenly and understood where I was coming from. I found him likeable, friendly, and extremely easy to talk to, and very understanding of the entire situation as well. He likes to talk, and I would call that his area of expertise, hands down. He knows how to mold the entire situation to the benefit of his clients and get the results needed. In my situation, he knew exactly what I needed to do which ultimately led to our desired results (6 months non-reporting probation and after 6 months if everything goes well, the incident would be wiped off my record). Having been involved in something like this for the first time in my life, I had no idea, no clue whatsoever on how to go about doing things ranging from getting a date for pre-trial, right up to the procedures and steps involved in the day of the sentencing at the courthouse. Mike comes from a family of lawyers and has grown up in this same area. He knows all the people involved in the process, has wonderful inter-personal skills and is excellent with communicating his needs to everyone involved. He knew everyone at the courthouse ranging from clerks and cashiers, all the way to the judge which speaks to me a lot about his people skills. I would recommend Mike Kelly 100% to any one who is looking for a criminal lawyer. He knows what he's talking about and will get you the best results possible. He did for me, and I could not ask for a better attorney.

I got an mip when i was 19 in the 47th district court. Young and nieve I faced the case without any legal representation. This resulted in me getting extremely difficult probation and 6 violations. Overwhelmed with the legal system I simply stopped reporting which resulted in a warrant for my arrest.... Over a year later I knew I was facing large repercussions, even up to jail time which would have resulted in me losing out on my semester of school and possibly my employment. Although I lived two hours away and only met with Mike in person the day of court, he showed his upmost character. I did a lot of research and spoke with a lot of lawyers, he was the only one who didn't try to speak with me as quickly as possible, get me to pay his fee and get off the phone. He took an hour over the phone with me to consult with me about the case before I even shelled out a dollar. His fee was very fair when compared to the lawyers I spoke with. In court he was creative, smart and did a great job representing me, as well as coming up with some very inventive steps to reestablish my credibility with the court. 47th district court is notoriously tough, but the day of court we were prepared, and he did a great job representing me. Although I was facing up to 20 days in jail, which seemed to be the likely outcome, that day I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, case closed all violations dropped. Mike is literally a LIFE SAVER. I was hesitant at first because his avvo rating was only at a 6.6. But this is at no fault of mike because of the scoring mode they use, he has 5 star ratings for everything except experience which is out of his hands with him being licensed for only 2 years. This should be seen as a good thing because Mike will be willing to work harder than most experienced attorneys would because he is still working to build his reputation. I would not recommend another criminal defense lawyer to any of my loved ones. Again look no further than mike for great representation.
